Yet another writing ask

  1. Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely?

  3. How would you describe your writing style?
  4. Do you have any OCs? Do you have a story for them?
  5. What's a tag you never want to use for your works even when it applies?
  6. What's your ratio for rating your works?
  7. Your favourite ao3 tag.
  8. How slow is a slow burn?
  9. Thoughts on cliffhangers.
  10. Top three favourite fic tropes.
  11. Three tropes that are fine but overrated.
  12. If you write in more than one language, what's the difference?
  13. Rate your worldbuilding skills from 1 to 10.
  14. Write and share the first sentence of a new fic. Just that.
  15. What's your favourite plotless fic you have written?
  16. Are one-shots really underrated?
  17. Past or present tense? Why?
  18. First, second, or third person?
  19. Share a snippet from a wip without giving any context for it.
  20. Do you work on a single project or many at the same time? How does that work for you?
  21. Can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? If you can, what's your secret?
  22. What is it about watching the same two idiots falling in love over and over again?
  23. Dialogue or description? Why is the other one so hard?
  24. Thoughts on flashbacks/flashforwards.
  25. Is writing the whole thing beforehand better or worse than writing it as you go?
  26. What would you describe as OOC?
  27. Do you agree that one shouldn't start a story with a piece of dialogue?
  28. Any writing advice that works for you and you feel like sharing?
  29. What's the hardest thing about writing?
  30. Describe a fic that almost happened, but then it didn't.
  31. What was the most difficult fic for you to write (but in the end you made it)?
  32. Do you have a word/expression that you always use in your writing?
  33. Give your writing a compliment.
  34. Do you write to improve? Or is that not a concern for you?
  35. Thoughts on writing challenges/contests.
  36. How do you come up with fic titles? What's the one you're most proud of?
  37. Do you research before writing or while you write? Is it fun or boring for you?
  38. "This never happened" fix-it fics or "this happened but" fix-it fics?
  39. Wildest AU scenario you have written?
  40. Write a 9-word fic.

"end up like me"

The me who can't hold on to a relationship? The me who cheated on his girlfriend? The me who jumped into a relationship with someone I barely knew? The me who does stupid, reckless things? The me who left you both when you needed me the most? The me who keeps hurting himself and the people I love? That me? Yeah, I understand why you wouldn't want your kid to end up like me.

"You didn't end up like you"

The you who did everything to save your sister from her abusive husband? The you who found someone to help me take care of him? The you who saved him from a tsunami? The you who improvised a Christmas party when we couldn't go home? The you who clawed at the earth to get me back? The you who got under a truck to save me after I got shot? The you he ran to when he was mad at me? The you he called when I was having a breakdown and who came running no questions asked? The you who makes him cookies and lasagna and who helps him with his homework? The you he begged to come back from a coma after you died? The you I put in my will because I trust you more than anyone else? The you who spares no efforts to help the people he loves? That you? Yeah, I'd be perfectly fine with him ending up like you. In fact, I'd be thrilled! And it breaks my heart that you think otherwise.

there was something so interesting about uk hades/persephone that i cant quite put into words except every single action hades made was him poking persephone for any kind or reaction. whenever he said or did anything he would immediately turn to persephone to see if he was looking at him/how she was reacting. when he goes to find eurydice at the end of chant you can SEE that it was out of nothing but spite. like he wanted persephone to call him on his bluff except she never did so he didnt back down. but the one that got me the most was in why we build the wall. when eurydice rises into hadestown persephone looks sick to her stomach and when he delivers the question 'what do we have that they should want?' he looks directly into persephones eyes. afaik this part is usually delivered to eurydice as a way to indoctrinate her into the hadestown lifestyle but by delivering it to persephone it felt like he was saying this is YOUR fault YOU made her come here by not calling my bluff. 'what do WE have that THEY should want' as in what do we hades and persphone have that orpheus and eurydice want....

Slow burn romance is fine, but slow burn friendship????? With passionate middle aged bureaucrats and depressed emperors and an explicit rejection of amatonormativity and having still accomplished great things and had a fulfilling life despite not meeting the arbitrary cultural milestones of maturity???? And also just like you love ur friends SO much and even your sad boss is now ur bff and there is inexpressible mutual devotion....Oh we Love to see it
