Perspectives, points of view, suggestions, life lessons and commentary from an ordinary man doing extraordinary things. I believe that obstacles were solely created to test our ability to conquer them. In this blog, I'll present the various obstacles that I'm presented with and share the way I got about conquering them. My followers feedback and comments are always welcome, because I firmly believe we can all learn from each other.

Why Start A Blog?

I'm sure that if you ask a dozen different people that question, you'll get a dozen different answers. In fact, if you would've asked me that question at different times during my life, you would've received a different answer each time.

I've been pondering starting a blog for no less than 5 years now. And, throughout that time the factors influencing me varied from:

  • affiliate marketing
  • getting back into working out
  • starting a business
  • technology and computer repair
  • traveling
  • bookkeeping and more

I'm sure, my experience in those areas will assist me in expanding my posts topics in the future; however, the initial topic of my blogging is vaguely, if at all related to the topics above.

And of course, the list above isn’t all inclusive. It’s purpose is not to limit the scope of this blog, but give it some direction.

Here we go!

Our instincts are the treasure map for our soul’s satisfaction.  Following our instincts can make the crucial distinction between what we are good at - our vocation or skill set - and what we are good for - the fulfillment of our purposeful potential. When you’re truly engaged with your life’s calling, whether in the boutique, the banquet hall, or the boardroom, you rely on something that cannot be taught.

Why Tumblr?

For the longest time, I thought Tumblr was a platform only used for sharing porn. LOL. Wow, was I wrong.

A couple years ago, I became interested in learning more about social media. I wanted to understand why the hype about this technology kept on growing, year after year. It was then that I discovered that Tumblr is a widely used, customizable, user-friendly and versatile blogging platform that allows its users to share anything - including text, links, quotes, chats, audio, photos, gifs and video - from almost any device connected to the web, be it a web browser, desktop, laptop, phone, tablet or simply an email address.

What distinguished Tumblr from other platforms for me, is its simple setup for novice users and it's ability to integrate HTML and CSS for intermediate to advanced users; hence, your blog can evolve with you.
