YOI Things to Love #75: Lilia’s sixth sense; Yurio’s respect
I will never get over how Lilia knew Yurio was about to say something uncouth to his fans, and how simply saying his name made Yurio twitch. He’s a kid caught doing something he knows he’s not supposed to do.
She knows Yurio well enough that she’s able to sense what Yurio will say before he says it.
I also appreciate that instead of yelling back to her as he did to Yakov mere minutes before (when Yakov tells Yurio to check himself in, and Yurio tells him he’s tired), Yurio grudgingly listens and poses with his fans like a gracious skater. He’s prickly and talks back to just about everybody, but he respects Lilia enough to listen to her suggestions. I find it clever that they use this scene to show just how much impact Lilia has on Yurio. It isn’t just in regards to skating, but extends to things like social interaction and image.

Conclusion:

Hiatus End
I’m back! :D Way sooner than expected, thank god.
I’ll be frank. I was in the hospital, in the mental ward. I had a big break down, and knew I needed the proper, close care and watch before I did something stupid. I’m feeling much better now, and feel like I’m on the right medications. I feel like I should be open about this, because mental illness isn’t something to be scared of, even the more serious diagnoses. Get rid of the stigma, y’know?
Anyways, I’m back and relatively healthy again. <3
