Do you have any Harmony fic recs for someone who hasnโt read any?
I am not quite sure which fics would be new reader friendly, so I will just place my favorites here, and will vary a bit the lengths and romance content, so you can pick where you want to start.
A Bed in Nassau by nightfallwhen (2k words)
Somehow Harry and Hermione ended up in the same hotel room during Ron's tropical wedding.
Corazรณn De Mi Alma by nightfallwhen (10k words)
Harry and Hermione travel to Mexico for the repatriation of a cursed Mayan artifact.
These are both cute and short Harry and Hermione getting together fics, and I especially enjoy them for the ease in their friendship that we see even before they get together, and Hermione's assertiveness in their relationship. These are concentrated shots of romance.
If You Get There Before I Do by continuedinterests (50k words)
Just what the world needs, another Harry and Hermione fall in love in the tent fic. His glanced away from the empty forest to Hermione's dark eyes, still searching. "He won't find us." He used the sharp tone again, he still didn't mean it that way.
Abandon by continuedinterests (35k words)
Harry's twenty two years old but feels fifty. Everyday he holds court at the ministry. Everyday the crown becomes heavier. He needs to leave and it's obvious, clear and simple, who will leave with him. Road trip romance. Friends to lovers.
These two are plottier and longer than the first two, but primarily serve as character studies, especially for Abandon. There is a lot of exploration of the inner lives and trajectories of both Harry and Hermione in these fics. These small novels are if you prefer your starter to be a bit meatier than the one-shots, but still very relationship-focused.
And finally, the Time is Out of Joint Series by Rouch
When you change time the ripple can turn into a tidal wave. Hermione and Harry are thrust into a battle for the soul of the wizarding world. The horcruxes were just the start as time itself becomes the final weapon at Voldemort's disposal.

It has rich plot and relationships, the characters are very well-built, and I like the progression of the Harry/Hermione relationship very much here. Okay.... So I'm looking for a story. I don't know if it's brucinette or not but marinette got reincarnated into talia's body? And she'll be living her normal life but Bruce would be suspicious and and would keep tabs on her and she'll get angry and would just go off on him for being racist among other things. Reading her account of how their boss treated her blows me away. Men are so emboldened that they will literally admit to illegal discrimination casually and face no consequences.

Day 3: Chains/Cruelty
Marinette wasnโt sure how to feel about being chained up, hung from her feet and left to dangle over a vat of acid. She was sure she wasnโt feeling positively about her situation though. Which was a shame, really, because everything else in her life was actually going good for once. Sheโd been in school for almost two weeks, and sheโd made several friends at Gotham Academy. It was such a relief, especially since sheโd assumed being a new girl would be awful. But, surprisingly enough, even without the Wayne name attached to her at school, the other students were extremely kind.ย
But this? This was anything but kind. And she didnโt have an easy escape either. Since starting her official training almost a month ago, her dad had set aside certain nights to be โnormal vigilante suitโ nights. Which meant she wasnโt transformed. And tonight, though she was kicking herself for it now, she hadnโt even brought a Miraculous with her.ย
โI didnโt think I was gone that long, but apparently I was wrong. Batsy has a new ward, or are you a new partner? Someone that heโll actually watch out for in a fight?โ Joker asks, finally coming back and grinning at her. She narrows her eyes, keeping her mouth shut tight. She had a lot of negative things to say to the man, more so than the first time sheโd met him. The first time, she hadnโt known that she was Bruce Wayneโs daughter. She hadnโt known about the abuse and trauma he had brought to Harley. Hadnโt known that he tortured and killed her brother. But now she did. And she was having a hard time holding her tongue.
