“What do you mean?” Rakan mumbled as he rubbed his eyes slowly, still dazed from his rare good night of sleep. He didn’t pay as much attention to himself, still a little lost, looking for Xayah. When his eyes finally met hers, he frowned. Xayah’s eyes were never blue, they were gold. And since… Since when her feathers were gold and her hair was–.
The lhotlan’s eyes widened and he looked down at himself; his colors has changed as well. His once gold feathers were… Xayah’s colors. They had each other’s colors now. “… Shit me not.”
“Rakan...Mieli....I don’t want to stand out.....” It seemed he wasn’t understanding the whole point to stealth. Though whenever she does disappear due to her nature camouflage he always seemed amazed. This boy was definitely bipolar about things.
“.....” Xayah was absolutely speechless about how much he wanted to stand out. She always knew he loved all eyes to be on him and that he is a complete attention hog, but this was taking it a bit too far now. “Alright how about this. Since it is day, I stand out the most right? We go into town and try to figure if there is any magic able to switch......anatomy around? Uh....magics around? Not sure how to categorize this really.”
Well, he was right about one thing, no one would be looking for them like this. This definitely gave them more freedom to move around and question people. In fact this gave her an even better idea. “Alright Mieli....I’ve got an idea on top of that to make sure we don’t get figured out. Now you might not like it too much...but you get to put those amazing acting skills into practice. We are going to need to pretend we are someone else...someone who fits what we look like...or in other words, you act like me and I’ll act like you.” She hoped he would play along since she praised his skills, but he might not like the idea of it anyway she is a lot less flamboyant than him after all.

Xayah watched as the Vastayan dropped something under their arm and raised their hands as if they were surrendering. She wasn’t paying much attention to what he had in his hands as long as he dropped it and left it. Also it seemed like he was pretty comfortable with her right off the bat. It was a little unnerving to her that he was like this so she kept her guard up and listened to him.
Xayah was surprised to hear that he had been wandering about in this cold, then again it looked like he had a lot better attributes to keep warm than her. She bets not a lot of Lhotlans live close to the Frejlord. After all her people thrive off of the humid temperatures of the Ionian forests, they were made to last in extreme cold and heat. That’s why Shurima was also a threat, less though compared to this cold. At least in the heat she could used her feathers as a cover for any exposed skin.
Xayah tensed up again as she saw him move and then something flew into the cave. She looked at it briefly easily identifying it as a kill from his supposed hunt. He also suggested eating it, and that wasn’t too bad, but...she was not used to carving up a kill, rather she was more used to fruits and fish and well little forest creatures. This kill was huge. She looked at the carcass and then back to the Vastayan...he said his name was Saga.
She slowed lowered her tensed up hand pulling it forward further. “How do you keep warm....nature body heat?” She was now more curious than anything else, for it seemed he was not about to hurt her anytime soon and if he did, he will find out how catlike her reflexes could really be. “Also...how am I supposed to eat that?” She pointed to the boar carcass, still mystified as to how to well cook and eat it.
