This is not how I’ve planned to post here again. I’m still under the deep, dark, choking emptiness after the WS servers shut down, and now… this shit.

Here is a piece I did for @artistsofazeroth a while back. I haven’t posted it because I was waiting for my physical copy but at this point I gave up (grumpy muttering over the postal services). Anyhow, my theme was Terokkar Forest. For some strange reason I really liked that zone and I had very pretty screenshots made there. Featuring my blood elf priest Harag, my night elf druid Botanika and their beloved companions Lurky and Cinder Kitten. Thank you for accepting my sign-up for the contribution of this project. While I don’t play this game any more, these two will always have a special place in my heart.

Staxyn and Waffles made for Retromissile’s amazeballs lineaup in honor of Wildstar shutting down. I suck at making characters. I was close to give up drawing since I was so unhappy with everything I was making. WS changed both of that: I got really good friends thanks to the game, my art and writing has improved, and I have a couple of characters that grew on me more than anything else I’ve ever made before. I loved struggling in the raids, figuring out the tactics, building my house, collecting lore, being a slut for fashion, looking at the art people made in the setting, and it really breaks my heart that it’s going down. I sure hope that the Arctium guys will manage to make a private server where we could be all revived and meet again. I love the mixture of sci-fi and fantasy, magic and technology. This is my jam. Until then, see you in the alternate universe, Shadowrun. ;)

I couldn’t decide between Cia and Stax so I just let the composition dictate and my boyo was chosen after all. Cia is a head over Bun’s height at least, makes her look pretty big in this case :’D

If you’re going to be playing WildStar until the end or at all, please consider helping gather data that will enable unofficial servers to be built.
“Packet sniffing” is a way of monitoring net traffic on the ports the game uses. The logs from this monitoring are very helpful to people who want to reverse-engineer software to emulate what’s running on the WildStar servers, because basically it shows what the client and server are saying to each other when various in-game actions are performed.
The opportunity to collect that data while the game is still live is important. The more people who contribute, and the more different things they do in-game, the less hard it will be to do MMO necromancy create an unofficial server.
Since Tumblr doesn’t show posts in tag searches if there’s an external link, all I can do is ask you to search for the term “arctium” on the WildStar Reddit, read the post that comes up, and follow the link in that post to learn more.
Here is the thing: Til the 28th of November, please log the game. It’s really not hard to set the thing up and just do the content. There will be all of our fav events, and you can buy all the cool cosmetics from the store. If you aren’t sure how to contribute: - Do raids. With the actual tactics, not the burn strats! - Do dungeons. I mean, with the actual tactics and not the burn strats. - Do adventures. Yes, even Malgrave Trail. Try to choose all the options where applicable. - Do shiphands. ...Which aren’t called shiphands but it stuck with me since beta...The soloable minidungeons. - Go to the 5-man quest areas in the 50 zones, especially Grimvault. Do the quests there and log them. - Please oh please people on the US servers: DO A WARPLOT. Also do PvP and log it. Seriously. The EU population is so low it’s impossible to get these done. - DO CHALLENGES! - Log your housing areas. - TOUCH THE DATACUBES!!! Interact with the npcs. Read the logs. Use the toys, the mounts, and all the funky stuff we got during the game. Make screenshots and gifs. Have fun while we still can with this digital masterpiece. Then you can save and zip these files and send to the Arctium guys, whom will reconstruct all they can. Please contribute. If you only have a little time, do some solo content. Every bit helps, quite literally x)
