Forever it's been, it seems since I've mumbled or tumbled or whatever it's called to add a drop to the ocean that is tumblr. Last time I updated I mentioned 4 E.P.s I have been working day and night on. I had nearly finished them before they were put on an indefinite "hold" by my management. Since then I've been doing remixes and collaborations! The 4 E.P.s are coming along well. In order to reach my deadline I've been sleeping a few hours during traditional waking hours and staying through the night in my recording studio. I can probably count on my hands how many times I've had soda in the past few years, but for some reason Dr. Pepper has been lending a hand in fueling the creative process. This morning I finished the remix that will accompany the May E.P. It's something I'm very excited about. Running through ideas for music videos as I record. The anxiety of infinite possibilities is the ally of over-thinking.

Once you over think, you lose.

That's one of the problems with being your own music producer. The only head to keep you moving forward is your own. It's easy to continuously go over something, seeking perfection. The answer is simple and is the same answer to many things

Then time, Now Time

Oh, it's been too long since I've wandered in to the world of Tumblr. I really should visit more often, daily even.

Tumblr is like a friend to me. The type of friend that you run in to and once you start talking, you end up staying for hours. You laugh and cry until the sun goes down... In other words...I love GIFs and can never stop tumbling through hilarious GIFs. There's so much happening here and now! I am remaking twelve of my past songs and doing four remixes. April will be the beginning of a four month/four EP span where you will get to hear and interact with all of this music! Each EP will have four songs and will be released along with a music video. I'll also be putting together fan made music videos with your help! details coming soon.

Shot on Monday for my promised song about the upcoming Halo 4.

The video will be released next week and I must say that if you do enjoy Halo, then I think you'll appreciate the song. I had such a fantastic time sitting under confetti, which is a must for almost every music video I've ever taken part in directing. We were joined by the expert gamer Nak3dHalo to make a cameo under the Master Chief helmet.

The current happenings and know what's up's.

Your Favorite Martian is entering the last phase of the album. We started work on it back in March and it's been a very adventurous, experimental, and completely enjoyable experience for us. This last leg is going to be the thickest to get through, but once it's done it will be one step closer to being in your hands/in your music collection!

Panda Music Video: A few final editing notes being made and then BAM! it'll be out! The song is dancey and rhythmic. I can't wait for you guys to hear it.

I finished the second rough cut (and hopefully final cut) of my new music video shot in Japan for a song called "The Saddest Panda", which is the beginning of a little series I'll be periodically contributing to involving the "Skinny Panda" (Named by a West-African woman in Harajuku, Japan).

Be someone who's actions are a result of who they are Not someone who is trying to be the result of their actions.

In other words - Be yourself. No one in the world has ever been exactly like you, so naturally you can be YOU better than anyone else in the world. One of my favorite quotes about this is from Albert Einstein

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

Back to my opening statement. Be someone who's actions are a result of who they are (Swim if you're a fish) Not someone who is trying to be the result of their actions. (A fish trying to climb a tree will never be a monkey)

And don't worry about what it looks like. It may look strange to some people, but being yourself is cool.

I've been thinking a lot about my generation and the recent phenomenon of the ability to create a social stage in a matter of minutes where you can share your internet persona, pictures, and opinions with anyone from your friends to complete strangers.

I have a love/hate relationship with social networking. It provides so much for the independent artist and allows for easy contact with friends/family.

But it's also distracting and socially crippling in some ways. Oh, my awkward generation.

we text, we comment, we like.

I spent my birthday running around Japan in a panda outfit filming for a short video I'm currently putting together as part of a series.

All it took was a little courage and now it's a story I'll be telling for a lifetime.

I'm so happy The video will be finished next week and I can't wait to share it.

I've been reminded of patience a lot lately. There's no time for the imagination of today if you're always preparing for the reality of tomorrow.

My first solo performance - 15 years old with just a keyboard and a laptop.

I’m grateful for all the people that encouraged me through the on going process and exploration of what I was passionate about. If you see a young person pursuing something they’re passionate about, be encouraging in their growth. It takes years to refine the fire, so don’t snuff the flame in a child.

Self expression is so often misinterpreted, unappreciated, and discouraged.

But who's to say it shouldn't be done.
