how do we feel about very small snails?

many land snails are very small, even some smaller than these, but they’re easy to miss even if you’re already accustomed to looking for tiny invertebrates.

these are different Vallonia species but I’ll need a different angle of the shell for a good ID. At ~2mm, both are full-sized adults; you can tell by the peristome (lip) at the aperture of the shell!

I've come up with guesses as to what has left Zeno in a state of horrific shock in ch.256:

  1. It's Hiryuu's corpse reanimated with another force or presence. One that's built up over the centuries within the castle. It's going to usher in the "darkness".
  2. It's the other three dragon warriors, who have been spit out of the chalice just like Zeno. Except they're gravely hurt, specifically the parts of their bodies that are possessed by the dragons.
  3. It's the other three dragon warriors again, except they're inside supernaturally summoned coffins, just like in Yona's dreams.
  4. He's shocked that he's not instantly healing even within the mausoleum. It's a first in 2000 years.

Adding onto point 4: despite being in the very room that is supposedly the source of their strength, he is not healing or scaling over. He has just been deemed a traitor by Ouryuu. It wouldn't be odd to think that Ouryuu has cursed him.

What if Zeno is not just immortal now, but can't scale over or instantly heal? He betrays "Hiryuu", so Ouryuu takes that "privilege" away while further punishing him by making him physically suffer like any regular human being?

I always get super sad when I say “oh yeah I teach high school” and the immediate reaction from other adults is “oh that’s terrible I can’t stand teenagers”

Um first of all, teenagers are the funniest people on this planet and you can’t convince me otherwise.

Second of all, I don’t gotta deal with snot and other things on a daily basis.

Third of all, I can get them to do anything for a scratch and sniff sticker

They deserve guidance and support just as much as the elementary kids.

Plus I can be sarcastic with them, can’t do that with second graders

Student: Ms. S can I go to the bathroom?

Me: idk tell me a funny joke

Student: *panic*

I’m three years out of college and I think I’m doing fine. I’m nowhere near where I’d thought I’d be and I’m okay with that. I think a lot about how naive I was when setting my goals back when I graduated. But, that’s okay. I’m still at home, trying to save my money. There is no way I can buy a house right now and I help with the bills. I’ve noticed my parents’ mental health aren’t that great, mine isn’t either to be honest. We’ve lost a lot.

My brother asked me some advice before he went off to college, he’s leaving in the fall.

So my advice to the kids leaving home. Check on your parents, they worry more than you know. Make some friends, you have to spend more time into relationships as you get older. Put a day aside for yourself, where you do the things you like. Eat some veggies, they’re good for you.

And remember it’s going to be okay.

This is such an old question... but I'm in the mood to write *cracks fingers*

Yun chewed on the inside of his lip as he concentrated on peeling the apple in his hands. The peel glided off expertly into the little squirrel's waiting hands. Ao was always there to pick up whatever he had dropped or any leftovers. Nothing really went to waste. He had a book propped up on the little stone he had found as an impromptu stand. He was reading a new medical book they had managed to by for him in the last town.

Update

I think Princess Zelda lost her pregnancy :( Or else she gave birth and killed the babies, which is particularly sad because Samus is the one who impregnated her. At any rate she isn’t pregnant anymore.

To recap for anyone who missed it, Samus was found dead behind the castle a couple of weeks ago. Link died not long after that, so it’s just been Zelda, Bayonetta, and Pikachu chilling out with some snails. 

Of course, none of those three can impregnate each other so no one is pregnant or coupled off right now. Pikachu’s babies are growing well. There are six still living. There were seven, but one escaped and Bayonetta ate it. 

Because of course these updates always have to involve someone eating someone else. *sigh*
