what I actually mean: okay but why would Eddie have to think how to finish his sentence if he was going to say something he had repeated throughout his whole life, since he was a little kid, that he hated when Richie called him Eds? (not true, by the way) How about he hesitated bc for once he was not going to say that, quite the opposite he wanted to express his true feelings towards Richie and that was his very last chance to do it? And Stephen King makes a very focused choice of words in order to convey this ambiguity: in fact if he’d just made him say «You know I… I…», the reader would have thought Eddie did not finish his well-known quote bc he was too weak to go on, but then King adds these words: “Eddie closed his eyes, thinking how to finish, and while he was still thinking it over he died”, so why would he had to think how to finish if he was not going to say something that would have change things forever, in a definitive way????

you know putting reddie into the second It movie really would be a wonderful thing. for a couple of reasons

  1.   It would be representation of a queer couple that is in a movie outside of the marketed ‘LGBT’ genre, as just characters, in a horror film, who happen to be gay
  2. Given that the movie will be taking place in current day, it would give their decision of shifting the timeline a bit more poigancy beyond cashing in on the landmine that is 80′s nostalgia by showing how becoming adults in the 90′s and 00′s put them on different paths than they would have been on coming of age in the 70′s and 80′s. that a richie tozier who grew up from 1986 to 2016 would have had different experiences than one who grew up 1957 to 1986
  3. it would also put queer people themselves into the seat of action, rather than just being the victims of the violence. rather than just having the gay character get killed by pennywise feeding off of homophobia, they have the opportunity to fight back themselves

i dunno. that’s just what i was thinking about. i figure there is a possiblity of this happening or something similar considering the creative changes they’ve already made in part one, but who knows haha

Anyways Eddie being gay isn’t even a speculation, it’s fucking real, it’s canon, he’s queer-coded, Eddie Kaspbrak is gay. Like there are tons of posts and texts abt him being gay, there are scenes in the book that are best explained by him being gay, he explicitly has a fear of his own sexuality. he’s not straight, he’s not ace, he’s an mlm.
