Newcomer is a fantasy video game where players are immersed in the second language they want to learn. 100+ characters to communicate with, eight language learning mechanics, and RPG features make second language acquisition an adventure. Designed for beginner - intermediate learners, players progress and learn a second language at their own pace.

Thought langblr might be interested in this. Current languages are French, Italian, English, and Spanish, with Japanese as a stretch goal!

Oklahoma School for the Deaf has opened up FREE ASL COURSES for the Fall season this new school year and anybody can join. The courses close on December 31st of this year (2023) so if you've been thinking about learning ASL here is your opportunity to get professional lessons for FREE

If you're interested, here's the link: https://courses.osd.k12.ok.us/collections

This is a GOLDMINE for information because not only do you get free video lessons by professionals that you can do at your own pace, but there's also graded quizzes as well as resources to educate you on the history of Deaf culture as well as sub-communities within, with links to loads of different websites to read up on Deaf-related topics.

I just saw something that reminded me of this and I wanted to pass it along:

you do not have to stick to the plans you made years ago. those plans might only serve an older and different version of you and that’s okay. don’t limit yourself by decisions you made before you knew all of yourself.

Hello, do you have own website about study ?OR Any Helpful Websites help a student in 1st Medical Year?. Thank you.

I’m so sorry for the late reply! Been super busy lately! Unfortunately, I don’t have a website of my own. Sorry about that!

Other websites that I think might be helpful:

  • TeachMeAnatomy  - I used this a lot, especially if I need to do quick read between classes. The information here are concise and easy to understand.
  • TeachMePhysiology - For TeachMePhysiology, I’d say the same exact thing I said for TeachMeAnatomy. It’s great for a quick read between classes, due to how concise the information written is.
  • Osmosis - I’ve linked their website, but they have a YouTube channel too, which I think it’s just as good as their website. The information published here ranges from anatomy to physiology and even microbiology. They are all videos, which I think will be extremely helpful, if you’re a visual learner. Sometimes words can be confusing or might not stick in my head, so I always found myself going back to their page to watch quick 10 minute videos on the topic of the day.
  • Medistudents - Medistudents is a great website to help improve your OSCE skills. They include step-by-step break down of the procedures (with images) required for each system. It’s another great website to refer to prior to attending your clinical skills session.
  • FreeBookCentre - If you’re looking for e-books, this website has them all - from year 1 to year 5.
  • Lastly, YouTube - I used YouTube a lot. You can search a topic and there’ll be tonnes of video recommendations to choose and watch. So, I’d definitely say that YouTube has become my good friend in medical school.

These are some of the websites I’ve used throughout my preclinical years in medical school. But, I tried my very best stick to textbooks a lot, as they are much more reliable compared to online resources.

I hope you find these websites helpful! And, good luck with your future endeavours! ❤️

Heyyy

I am currently learning Arabic and I was wondering if you have any links for pdf of arabic books

Btw I love your blog

Hi, hun! I’m not very familiar with Arabic, but I did manage to find a handful of PDFs of Arabic books for you (and anyone else who wants them). I put them all in a folder on Google Drive:

I included titles such as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (هاري بوتر وحجر الفيلسوف), Lolita (لوليتا), and The Fault in Our Stars (ما تخبئه لنا النجوم).

Here is the link to the folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1W80JRA7NHR6Fjbv20cxp8NMEATUlkAMP?usp=sharing. Let me know if you have any difficulties accessing it.

📌 How I motivate myself to study during sem break 📌

📓 Record the time I’m putting in.

📓 We actually avoid things that we find difficult (procrastination) because it’s literally painful. So what I do is I put a timer and make boxes which I can cross out to see my progress. This helps me avoid procrastination.

📓 Remember that little things amount to good things, eventually. It will be worth it.

📓 Give myself a reward at the end of the day, may it be just a small cup of coffee, or a short walk! Always helps put me in a good mood.

To those who are studying during break, we got this!!! 🫶 | instagram
