Just so y’all know: I can’t speak for every other fic author but I can say that I remember when people leave me kind comments. I recognize your urls and/or usernames on AO3. I remember you and sometimes in writing my fics I think to myself, “Oh, I hope this person sees this because they liked x in this other fic I did.”

Not only that—I go back and reread comments when I’m feeling low. I look at tags and reblogs and asks and wish I could hold them in my hand like a note from a friend on an old, torn piece of notebook paper.

Your comments have so much more impact than you know. So thanks to those who use the comment section to spread love and encouragement. We appreciate you.

Because sexual desire is so weird and alien to me, personally, I find myself more accepting of weird and alien sex: I’m definitely not a monsterfucker in that I don’t wanna fuck the monster, but I fully accept and respect all monsterfucking because hey, sex in general -- straight, gay, or otherwise! -- is already so weird to me. Same here, I'm not afraid to admit I've written a couple of filthy what if fanfics about the evil demon bad guy who totally is a giant dragon looking thing and the OC ninja chick totally getting it on that one time. Okay hold on, @alamari-chibi​, I hope you don’t mind me grabbing this tag, because this poked something in me. That’s so interesting, because it gets at...like, we always joke on Tumblr about someone getting us into a fandom by being excited about a fandom but...hear me out...there are a decent amount of erotica writers who are ace, so what if those writers got into erotica because of a vicarious interest in sex? The same way different fans get into a new piece of media by seeing other people be excited about that media. 

Is this anything? Do y’all understand what I’m talking about here? Because like, to me, I’m FASCINATED by people who have kinks the same way that I’m fascinated by people talking about Supernatural. I have no idea what you guys have going on over there! But it’s interesting to watch over the hedge!
