and with that last post, the swap is over!!  (I bet u thought it was over already didn’t u??)  

I hope you all had a great extended holiday season and enjoyed this year’s swap!!  to be honest, I don’t think I’ll run the swap again next year.  it’s a lot of work, and the fandom is dwindling....plus, people are uh not always reliable, which is really stressful and not fun to deal with lmao.

we’ve had a pretty good run though, and I’m so thankful to everyone who participated.  I’m extra thankful for the pinch hitters, who filled in and created two gifts just so that no one would go without!!  you guys are the best.  :’))

anyway, you can find me at @cypress-tree.  I write newt/hermann fic if you’re interested, lol.  I’ll come back to this blog next november and make a final confirmation post on whether or not the swap is happening.  until then, see ya’ll around, and enjoy the sequel!!!

crawling towards the end...

so we’re getting to the end of the swap!!  we’re still waiting on two people to post, but I’ve been in contact with both of them, and both are swap veterans, so I trust they’ll pull through.

we did have one person drop out, which is down from two people last year and three people the year before (and let’s not talk about the year before that, which was the enormous inaugural year and kind of a mess lmao).

anyway, hang onto your hats!!  the pacrim holidays are not over yet~~

happy holidays to @ofdawn07!!  your gift-giver for the @pacrimholidayswap seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth…I’ve tried three times to get in touch with them, to no avail.  BUT your prompt was totally up my alley, so instead of asking for a pinch hitter, I decided to fill it myself B))

here’s some newt/hermann inspired by your prompt, “romantic dinner!”

This isn’t the most romantic place for a dinner date.  Newt had gotten overly excited about the restaurant, and Hermann was willing to humor him, but “authentic Southern U.S. barbeque” wasn’t exactly his first choice.  He’s not sure why Newt was so enthused about it.  He knows for a fact Newt has never been farther “south” than Pennsylvania.

heyyyyy friends,

there are ten gifts that still need to be posted.  half of these people have already messaged me saying they’ll be late (thank you!), and the other half are just floating off in the ether somewhere.  I just messaged them, and now I’m waiting on replies.

tbh this is the part of organizing that I really, really hate.  this is the part that makes me question every year if I want to do this again.

sorry if you haven’t received your gift yet.  I have a spreadsheet that I’m checking everyone off of, so I definitely know that you haven’t received anything, and I’m doing my best to track down your gift-giver.  if I don’t get a response from them, I’ll contact a pinch hitter to fill in.
