We know that Kris is more than capable of changing a dialogue option’s tone when they feel like it.
(sounding incredulous when choosing to “join” Berdly, hesitantly saying “yes” when asked if they’re okay after Spamton, etc).
So it’s nice to think that Kris was likely sincere when they said they were friends with Noelle.
