They’re both mature adults. They’re also both severely private about their lives. It was a long time ago and they were different people then. They just carry on. They respect each other and are friendly. But for the most part, they don’t revisit the past and they act as if it never happened.
i just want there to be a little bit of side eye. a little bit of nostalgia. i want them to be more than friendly i want them to be friends. so a little bit of appreciation for the past is necessary i think

This is such an interesting question.
The biggest thing is that they would express their affections and interest in completely opposite ways. Sam Wilson would be so obvious about his crush. He would scream it from the rooftops if he so pleased. He openly flirts. He’s not afraid of his feelings and he’s not going to hide them from Y/N.
However, Bucky is the complete opposite. Old Bucky was like that, yes. But he’s more mellow. Also, he’s less confident and doesn’t believe he’s worthy of anyone’s romantic affections. More importantly, Bucky doesn’t think anyone should be with him. Y/N deserves so much more than him. So, Bucky hides his feelings and is very secretive about them. It’d be a miracle if even Steve or Natasha noticed his crush on Y/N.
So when Bucky realizes that Sam is in love with Y/N, just like him, he backs off. Because in Bucky’s head, Sam deserves Y/N far more than he does. And Y/N deserves more than him and Sam’s a better man.
And before anyone can blame Sam for stealing the girl, we have to realize that Sam would have 0 idea that Bucky ever even had feelings for Y/N.
So if you were imagining a big faceoff or some sort of competition for Y/N’s heart, you got another thing coming.

How would Bucky react if you come back with some serious injuries from a mission he couldn’t go with you?
He’s for sure be bothered by it. No one likes to see the person they love hurting, whether it’s physically or mentally. But Bucky knows that injuries come with the job. And even if he had been there with you, there’s a chance you still would’ve come back hurt.
He’d take care of you though. He’d make sure you ate and drank water, showered, and properly got your wounds tended to. He’d also make sure you slept and rested. And if anyone interrupts that, they’ll have to deal with the wrath of the Winter Soldier.

Sam likes flavored cream. But it all depends on the season. Sometimes it’s French Vanilla. In the fall, it’s always pumpkin spice. In the winter, it’s hazelnut or mint.
Wanda loves cappuccinos. But if she’s just having regular coffee, she puts a ton of cream and sugar into it.
Bucky drinks his black. It’s too sweet to him if he adds anything else. He just thinks about drinking it in the army and they were lucky if they had coffee at all.
I love the idea that wanda needs her coffee to be so sweet and creamy. its basically breakfast at that point

Your small group occupies a cramped table, in the back of a crowded bar - Tony’s club - enjoying the steady flow of drinks Tony has provided. One of the perks of being a part of this team is enjoying a slice of the Stark luxury from time to time. While you always enjoy it thoroughly and regularly crave a night out to blow off some steam, your man is less than enthused.
You wince, pulling another sip from your very strong, very expensive beverage but Bucky looks miserable. He leans back into the cushions with a deep sigh, pushing his lips together into a firm line, his impossibly sharp jaw line jutting slightly forward. He’s eyeing the room, irritated by the number of people simpering and grinding around him. The loud thump of the music pulsing through his chest, the harsh flash of the lights all set him on edge.
You, however, love every sensation. The anonymous mass of bodies around you, obscured by the darkness is mesmerizing. The pulse of the music sets your nerves on fire, and the alcohol buzzing in your veins sends a ripple of warm energy through your body. Leaning towards Bucky beside you, you nuzzle at his neck, dragging your nose from the tense band of muscle where his neck meets his shoulder up to his ear, and whisper, “Relax, baby,” but he doesn’t. “This is supposed to be a fun night out.”
They are adorable! wanda knows! theres just something so sexy about a couple who cannot control themselves around other people.

“Be my wife.” Bucky murmurs, slipping strong arms around your waist, drawing you close against him. You don’t even try to suppress the wide grin pulling at your lips at the feel of your back pressed to his warm body. You stir the hot cider on the stove, adding warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg that reminded you of something safe. Home. Bucky.
He takes in a deep breath over your shoulder. Your scent mixing with the warmth of the pot of liquid is intoxicating to him. He nuzzles into your neck and drags his nose from your shoulder up to that spot just below your ear that he knows will make you shiver. “God, you’re perfect.” His hands dip lower, resting on your hips.
You still feel tired from the night before, not quite up to this challenge. Again. “Bucky…” his name is just a sigh on your lips. You drop your head back onto his shoulder, hoping he’ll recognize your exhaustion. “I already am.”
“Hmm?” he hums in your ear, clearly distracted, as you turn off the stove and spin on your toes to face him. His hands glide easily over your hips to settle on the small of your back.
“I already am your wife,” you repeat, wrapping your fingers in the long soft hair behind his head and pulling him closer for a soft, quick kiss.
The sweetest most romantic of all honeymoons! like a painting, or a dream!
