Yugami Project

@yugamiprojectblog / yugamiprojectblog.tumblr.com

"Yugami" is an RPG Maker VX ACE Game that is being developed by a group of close friends. The story orbits around a girl of about 15 years affected by a rare disease that in her younger days forced her to reduce contact with the other kids, as she couldn't go out of her house. She would then need to explore the darkest deeps of her immagination in order to solve a problema that could cost her loosing her own mind. _____________________________________________

Hi! Wish your team to have a good time realising this great project. Hope playing it. ^v^

Thank you! Good luck on your project too, as for every other rpg maker dev that I encounter I am willing to play your game once released~

Aside of intro and demo there are in total 5 AREAS in the game, each one with different characters and ambients inside of it, they all have backstory and a connection between them in a sort of way.

At first, the concept for the game had no world map but small areas not connected in any way! (◑○◑)

Hey, looks like there are vocabulary mistakes in the story. I corrected them. Togheter/To gather - depts/depths - immagination/imagination and also there is an extra paragraph. And the light word was in the 2nd paragraph. And lastly i'm waiting for the game :) The story looks georgeous. (looks like i can't share a link so... you have to find it all of the mistakes yourself xd)

Thank you so much for your help!

Since english is not our native language we are trying our best and for the final release we promise to assume a grammar nazi volunteer to help us with the grammar xD

The game has passed a status of "stasis" for now, since we had internal team problems, glad to announce that we are back on track

Yugami needs you!

                                       ✩ Hello everyone! ✩

We’re alive! Unfortunatelly we’ve been inactive for a really long time due to lack of work done. We encountered some big problems...

Our main illustrator left us so, we are searching for a new one! and that’s were we ask for YOUR help!

If you know how to draw in a style that more or less resembles the picture at the beginning of the post please contact us at: Yugamiproject@gmail.com ★ here are the conditions you must know before joining us:

❥   None of us gets payed to make this game so, neither will you.           ❥   You have to assure us that once you join the project, you, most likelly,                 will not leave until the end, like other illustrators (this will prevent us                     from delaying even further the release of the game).           ❥   Your name will be evident and relevant in the credits of the game, in                      the website and everywhere else we’ll post stuff about Yugami.

❥   Work frequency is not high.

Do you think you can join us? amazing! send an e-mail to us and please do not forget samples of your work and a little introduction of yourself.

Thanks you so much for reading! we’ll be waiting your email! ☚

When do you think the demo will be released?

Our artists are having some problems, that's why we're not posting anything at the moment, probably after february, I am very sorry about the waiting.. But we are a team of students and this period is pretty hard for us, we hope you'll understand the waiting ^^Don't worry! The demo will come out no matter what! Even if probably, with a lot of delay

Is the game going to be free?

Of course! As our first ever game that's going to be produced, It'll take a long time to come out, We think that's pretty normal. We don't feel like selling it as we don't really care about money for now, we just want the player to be provided with the best gaming experience we can create! Then if the game is good, profit from it will come alone.

I belive that when the translator commit to translate your project, they commit too to at least keep people informed since its a project with such a big demand? And if they are so busy with real life, im pretty sure there are other translators that could had finish the project already

I can’t believe I’m reading this… I don’t even know what to say ;;This made me really sad..

This a little project that I made in my free time and other people is helping me to be able to release it, I  wanted this to be a fun experience for everyone involved… It makes me really sad that it’s becoming the opposite when we are so close to the release

I was really excited for finally be able to share with you what I’ve been doing for the past two years. This project has always been a positive experience since the beginning, I’m really devastated that this is happening now

Please, don’t say that about the translators, I won’t tolerate that

Anon, you do know that:

The game was made in Spanish. The very fact its being translated to English should be enough for you to feel thankful.

The translators are volunteering. They aren’t being paid, nor did they publicly commit to a deadline. Also, they have lives. They aren’t tied down to a chair typing the game’s lines very slowly.

These kinds of asks stress the devs, the translators, and as stated in the reply, make the experience an unpleasant one.

Do you think you deserve to play the game after making the dev feel like that? If you are so impatient, offer to help with translating. If you don’t know how, or can’t, then choose a comfortable chair, grab your favorite drink, and pass your time with something until the game is released.

Yikes, it was hard not to curse while writing this!

Anon -

You are not even entitled to an english version.  The fact they’re making one is a luxury.  The fact they made this free game at all is a luxury.

You are not entitled to the work of another person. I’m only grateful the followers of my game aren’t like this anon. :/

Anon:

If you are this rude and impatient to wait for a game to be translated, then you do not deserve to even look at the project page, let alone play the game when it’s completed. The opportunity to have Aria’s Story being translated to English is an absolute delight, some projects that look fantastic from the surface but aren’t translated is either due to the lack of resources (spare time, money, other life necessities that are priority number 1). Or, they don’t want their game translated because of certain unnecessary animosity like you are unnecessarily perpetuating to the community.

You properly sit down behind your screen, thinking you’re invulnerable, untraceable and in your hypothetical universe built like a tank, have no priorities in your life, nothing that fills the day out with responsibilities, and all you do in your day anon is to send hate to everyone, the only thing you can do is make those who work hard on their projects, their university work, college work, job work, home work etc a living nightmare.

As Draxicor said, the urge to curse was certain, and as Lulluria said, you are not entitled to the work of another person, a person who I bet spent many days building this game together with a lot of thought, heart and soul being poured into it.

Personally I cannot wait for Aria’s Story, but I’m only willing to play when it is ready to play!

Keep your chin up Aria’s Story developers & translators!

Wow, talk about entitled. Real life should absolutely come first for everyone, Anon. And this is a fun little hobby/passion project they are working on for free. Just be thankful they’re taking time out of their busy lives to help with translations.

Like everyone above said, these kind of questions can be quite detrimental to them and can add unnecessary stress.

Please remember to be considerate of them. Devs and translators are only human afterall!

Please take in fact that devs and translators are humans just like you anon. We eat, sleep, go to school, go to work, etc. Devs and translator have a life beyond from their work. Also don’t just think about your own self needs, the translator are people I know and have life’s out of what they are doing. Translating a game shouldn’t be their main priority, since they have the real world to worry about rather than a free game.  Most of us are making a game as a hobby so we are going this on our free time. Since we have a bunch of things to worry about. We all put our hearts into our work. So please respect that if it takes a while for a game to come out.

Also this game is free, no one is getting paid for it. So be thankful for the fact that you don’t need to pay for the game. Because of the game is free everyone that is working on the game isn’t getting paid. Even the translators are not getting paid.

Just stop being rude people and think you are entitled to this game, if you can make a rude message like that you 100% don’t deserve the game, since the creator of the game put their soul into the project. Just wait patiently for the game, that all you have to do and in time it would come out and be worth the wait. Also please stop messaging the dev over the translations, just wait.

Thank you to everyone that replied to this Anon! <3

I am absolutelly concerned by all this.

This is unacceptable for someone that is supposed to help and compliment the dev and translators for all their impressive work. I really hope not all game's fanbases are like this anon, inpatient people that want too much in too little time. Anon, do you have any ideas of how making a game could be hard? If you are so inpatient for the release and you get to the point to write this than make your own game and don't stress out people who's working for your enjoyment freely.

Think of what you said.

I apologize if there's any error, my native language is not English.

Happy to comunicate that we're finally making progress on the intro!

65% is done, now text needs to be added along with initial disclaimer and ending animations!

Hopefully size and conversion to a game-file won't cause any trouble!

Also rose's house is 100% complete!
