We leave ruination in our wake, and when we have nothing else to leave in a state of desolation we will turn to one another to quench our insatiable thirst for demolition. Emma

The irony of gods is that they are more dead than the living.

For gods live forever, never moving forward, always stagnant. They cannot understand this to be a curse. They only see an infinite amount of time to do as they please: to chase the brief embraces of lovers they will forget as soon as they glance away, the children who will be born of their blood and grow and become heroes or monsters, and play their fleeting games of power at the cost of countless mortals. The gods are blinded by their own vainglory.
All the regrets, the joys, the sorrows, the hopes and dreams. Things that gods cannot understand in the same ways, things that they may look upon for themselves with apathy and boredom. Those are all things etched into the souls of deceased mortals that come through the gates of The Underworld. And it begs the question, if it is not the gods who are truly the most pitiful of creatures.

I'm so sorry to bother but could you tell me who's your faceclaim for fem!Ares, pretty please? She's gorgeous!

Sorry I never got this! I’m not sure which you’re referring to since there are two with fem!Ares in them, but both are photos of models so I’m not entirely sure who. The one with Clytemnestra/fem!Ares was from The Imaginarium’s album on flickr. The other was a model, but I’d have to search my image folder for the original one. I’m pretty sure I grabbed it off flickr though.

“Lady Midday” or the “Noon Witch" is a noon demon from Slavic mythology.  She’s a manifestation of a heatstroke. :) I’m working on my second mini comic; “Femme Fatale Vol. 2!” which is a collection of myths feat. deadly ladies. ♡

In Greek mythology Medusa was a monster, a Gorgon, generally described as a winged human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Gazers upon her hideous face would turn to stone.
Medusa was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head, which retained its ability to turn onlookers to stone, as a weapon until he gave it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield. In classical antiquity the image of the head of Medusa appeared in the evil-averting device known as the Gorgoneion.

AJA NAOMI KING AS MIDAS
THE GOLDEN TOUCH
MIDAS WAS A WISE AND GRACIOUS KING, AND IN RETURN FOR AN ACT OF KINDNESS HE WAS GRANTED A SINGLE WISH. HE CHOSE TO BE ABLE TO TURN ANYTHING HE TOUCHED TO GOLD, BUT QUICKLY FOUND THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO EAT OR DRINK WITHOUT HIS FOOD TURNING TO GOLD IN HIS MOUTH. HE MANAGED TO CURE HIS CURSE BY BATHING IN A SACRED RIVER, LEAVING GOLD DUST SCATTERED ALONG THE BANKS.
