❦ Holding hands and nuzzling somewhere ambient and low-lit.
THEY JUST COULDN’T seem to get a break - the both of them had been barraged by photographers, news reporters and other forms of paparazzi ever since his arrival in Altissia. For the first time in years they finally have the ability to be with each other but they didn’t even get a moment of alone time to talk.
IT WAS to be expected of course, they were both quite famous after all. But even so, it was a bit of an annoyance she wasn’t asking for MUCH, she just wanted to spend a few moments with him - JUST him, but unluckily for her that just didn’t happen.
AT LEAST, she wasn’t expecting it to. It wasn’t until sunset that he finally took a moment to pull her aside when no one was looking - it was quite clear that he was getting fed up with the lack of privacy too. He’d hold his hand out to her, and of course she took it. She had no idea where he was planning on taking her but she didn’t exactly mind - for the first time all day she could finally hear herself think.
‘ Just where are you taking me ? ‘
SHE’D ASK him, curious more than anything - he’d look back at her and flash a smile one that seemed to say “you’ll see when we get there.” She really had no room to complain, so she continued to follow him. He wasn’t planning on taking her to the hotel was he ? That would be far too risky, he wouldn’t do something like that, would he ?
HER QUESTIONS would soon be answered as they arrived at a spot nearing one of the abandoned gondola posts, a large curtain would drape over it loosely, enough to keep them HIDDEN but not enough to keep light from passing through. Her eyes would widen at the scene - in front of her, it was like their own personal hidey-hole. Her free hand would move to cover her lips so that she could keep herself from gasping.
‘ How did you find this place ? ‘
SHE’D ASK, taking a seat near the corner of the post, as far from the water as she could be. He’d give her a smirk before sitting next to her, “some things are better left a surprise.” He’d tell her, she’d snicker softly but decided that giving any sort of counter argument would change nothing - it would be better to just take in the atmosphere before they ended up getting caught.
FOR A MOMENT OR SO neither of them would say a thing - the only sounds that could be heard were the soft exhales that they both made. Luna would lay her head on Noctis’ chest, her hand moving to grip his shoulder. A smile would be made as his arms move to hug her, holding her closely. Something like this was just what she needed, a moment where the two of them could be alone together.
SHE DIDN’T KNOW how long they’d be able to be like this - and she wanted to soak up every second that she could with him. Hesitantly, she’d move that hand that had been on his shoulder to lightly grab his hand, he would give hers a tight squeeze before fingers would begin to interlock. AH - how she wanted to stay like this forever, but she knew that that was just a childish dream one that couldn’t come true, but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t enjoy the moment because she absolutely was.
’ As much as I would love to stay like this, we should probably head back soon, don’t you think ? ’
NOCTIS WOULD let out a loud groan at her words - clearly, he didn’t want to move from this spot either. “Just a little while longer - ” he’d whine. Despite sharing the feeling, Luna would snicker softly it would be bad for both of them if they didn’t return soon. But.. maybe just a little while longer ? They still needed to catch up, after all.
THAT WAS just an excuse she told herself, but it was enough to keep the pair from moving from that spot for the next hour or so. The paparazzi would probably throw a fit over it, making a string of rumors but she could hand whatever the tabloids said. It was worth it getting to spend the evening cuddled up next to Noctis.
