“Why do I have to be chained with you? Is there a point of this action?” Light asked while dangling his wrist. They were few feet apart from each other and Light was already close to L. He knew there was no point. The task force left the headquarters leaving only Misa, him and L. Misa was already on her own floor ... and him and L were on their own.
It was around 11:00, quiet, serene and dark.
L stared down at his own wrist with no emotion, but he just shrugged with a subtle reply,
“Actions prove what type of person they are, Light-kun. If you do a good action, then you’re a good person. If you’re a bad person who doesn’t follow the rules, there will be disastrous consequences.”
Light knew he would say that. His thoughts clouded his mind of how L always wears the same old white long sleeve and the overworn or overcleaned denim jeans. Of how he’s able to survive staying up for more than 48 hours. Of how he’s so highly intelligent.
A few minutes passed and L and him decided to sit on the white bed due to standing for so long. There was just a small lamp on, leaving an essence of delicate warmth. L sat with his knees on his chest and Light just fidgeted with his fingers.
“But it’s just good to have company for once.”
