im still annoyed about this. im gonna have to see how it plays out in the show whether this is actually as egregious as it seems but sincerely, there is no point increasing diversity in your cast if you’re just going to take away with the same hand. and this after a white Egg also.

you know it's been a depressing couple of days bc i've really been thinking about how much i love ASOIAF and cant wait to see what happend to Sansa Jaime ecc. and. sometimes i think well maybe TWOW is almost done. and then i remember oh yeah. All GRRM wants to do is write what happened to Targs that died 400 years ago. and i become instantly depressed.
eh I do genuinely think he does want to finish the series, ofc he wants to write other stuff too but I think the only reason he’s ended up doing so is bc of how difficult finishing asoiaf is… I know it sounds delusional lol but 400-500 pages (which is how much he reckons he has left) is not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things, and I bet once he’s got a further 200 or so down he’ll really be on the home stretch. so in short I think we’re getting close now, just need him to get out of his latest funk lol as per his latest comments he seems to have been in one for much of 2023.
I don’t really mind getting the targ shows in the meantime cos at least it gives us something to talk about + upcoming hotd press probably includes an asoiaf update of some kind…. also he’s coming to the UK in the summer I think so I wonder if that’s a good sign??

well this was about a year ago so might not be the same person depending. I don’t want to say too much as ever bc they were basically civil but they messaged me acting like they had some deep grievance w some random AU I’d written like it was really biased against their fave but couldn’t really explain how or why they felt that way. and when I tentatively implied maybe it’s bc they’re a [redacted] stan rather than my post being the issue they were like no way I’d never ship [redacted]!! implying this wasn’t just some petty complaint of theirs that I was interpreting a thing differently from how they personally did but some more objective injustice I’d done them. and then they were like ‘btw I’ve heard jb fandom is soooo nasty don’t you agree. I’m not a [redacted] stan. but I have heard jbs are sooo horrible to them. even though I think [redacted] is disgusting btw.’ and I’m like uh huh whatever I don’t?? get involved in that shit?? and then lo and behold…. I’m p sure I know who they were now and they are indeed a full on [redacted] stan trying to act like they had a genuine grievance w me rather than they were just mentally stuck in a ship war that they’d projected on my unrelated post so it’s like just be honest next time or what’s the point in discussing anything
omg someone reached out to me months ago on some burner account to argue about something pretty daft and i was like what is getting to you so severely about this post i made they obviously weren’t being entirely honest about where they were coming from….. and just now I think I finally cracked who they were and LMAO I see now…..
