A/N: So here we go with chapter 1 for this series. So this is set three months after the semi ending of My little love so I'm keeping some aspects of that series that are mentioned in this chapter vague. We are going straight into Honey's family and they are the worst. I kind of wanted to show the difference in Steve and Honey's worlds. I really hope you like it. Also kind of nervous for this chapter...

Every time I read fanfiction I always wonder am I in love with this character or am I in love with the author’s interpretation of said character? Do you get what I mean??? Like yes, I grow more delusional but I’m delusional because of their perception on how they view the character we both feel connected with? DO YOU GET WHAT I MEAN?

And it’s interesting to me how we (the majority) are women, obsessed with a male character, but seek fiction of them who are also written by women.

Men written by women are truly the best.

I'll read one story, absolutely get absorbed into it, and hate my fictional crush. The next story on my feed is adorable and its making me feel warm and fuzzy.

There are certain characters I came here to read, because I found them hot/adorable/ funny on screen, and then I stayed for the interpretations of them.

I love this community for being just as unhinged as I am and to feel represented in my fatuation that carries beyond tv.

I just have one question... How could Steve abandon Bucky?

I'm not talking about his going back to be with Peggy, that's whatever. But when he went back, he then had to live through the following years knowing Bucky, his best friend, his brother, is currently being held captive by Hydra.

He's living with the knowledge that Bucky is being tortured, arguably spiritually destroyed, by them.

He knows that his best friend is going through immeasurable pain that will take years to recover from - he knows that when he leaves future Bucky, he's still broken.

Say what ever you want about the whole "well he knew he couldn't mess with the timelines" because yeah, I get that. But as a character, I just can't see Steve Rogers being able to live with the knowledge that someone he loves is living through hell while he's playing happy families.

I already ranted about this but then I just remember what peggy is.

A Nazi supporter. She knew exactly what was happening with Zola and shit, she still hired them! WTF was the point of was the point of the whole WAR you just had. She enables their work by providing them with a free bank aka howard stark. I'm glad peggy's "legacy" collapsed in CA:WS, good riddance.

Also you're telling me that, Steve never visited Peggy at work? BS. He was probably Captain America again cz what tf does he do if not work, especially back in the day. So he could've encountered Zola and the gang. And he did nothing....

Steve really left to go play house with a Nazi.

Picking out on an outfit to wear to the library took you more time than you cared to admit. You didn't want it to be too revealing since you were visiting Bucky at his job and there would be kids around. You also didn't want to look too casual since you were going on a date.

THIS!!!! Forget Peggy (as they should have), what happened to the whole "with you till the end of the line" like the line didn't end, you ended it! I get he deserves to have a happy ending, they all did, but come on. Steve and Bucky, best-friends forever, through thick and thin. This is not what was advertised for the past 10 years Fiege. The entirety of the Cap movies revolve around Steve and Bucky and their adventures okay. Cap deserves a happy ending, but how selfish was that.

He knew the struggles of adapting to the new times, he knew that Bucky wasn't going to accepted by society like he was. He lived through the horrors of the 21st century but then he said fuck it, Imma set up a white picket fence with this woman, who clearly moved on from me.

And then the timelines. Steve messes up the timelines by living his life with Peggy anyways. That mf better have saved bucky from his torture. I remember reading somewhere that it took 20 years to break bucky(?), he had a good enough chance to save him. And yeah sure he wouldn't have the metal arm, but better than 70 years of torture.

Also, how disrespectful to peggy. Like he just assumes because of their fleeting romance she was the one. The fact is, she moved on, had a husband, raised kids. And to just show up and disrupt that with no regard for anyone else. Hell he had more chemistry with Natasha.

Steve's entire shtick was looking out for the wellbeing of others, while sacrificing himself. He can live with Peggy for all I care, he better have saved Bucky in that timeline, or all of this modern world stuff was for nothing.

In my version, he found Nat at Vormir in exchange for the stone, they come back, and then Cap's Quartet lived happily ever after eating shawarma and introducing bucky to new foods

Summary: You get a haircut you're not to pleased about. You try an hide it from the team, but a certain blue-eyed super soldier notices and he makes you feel better about yourself.

You don't know why you did it, apart from wanting a simple change. As you sat in the chair looking at your reflection in the mirror, the feeling of dread was taking it's hold on you.

You decided to get a haircut. Nothing major you thought, just a simple cut, but four hours later you sat there staring at yourself in the mirror hating your new look. You let the 'junior' stylist cut your hair at a new salon you were told about from Nat. The stylist told you a shorter look would be best followed by adding in some highlights and lowlights and were those wispy bangs she added?

You weren't sure why you didn't say anything when the stylist brought out the hair dye, and you had no idea why you didn't speak up when she chopped a chunk of your hair off, you just sat there, unable to move like being stuck in a forcefield surrounded by dye, scissors, and 'creativity'.
