oliver raised an eyebrow, chuckling slightly at how the other was describing him to be. he understood it, but he was just glad that this persona he put out was actually working for him and people believed it. oliver shrugged, “there’s nothing wrong with being a confident in yourself. but trust me, it’s nothing to be intimidated by, babe.” oliver smiled as the other continued to explain himself to him, his hand still running over his arm as he scooted closer to him. there were so close, so as oliver reached his arm around rory and pulled him to straddle his waist, it was almost effortless. “you can thank those fucking nice lips of yours for that. hard to resist kissing them,” he placed his hands on his thighs, running his fingers over them as he leaned in to kiss him again. as rory asked his first question, he just raised his eyebrow, “uh,” he thought about it, actually having to take a second to decide what all he should say. “i’ve had a few. probably three since i graduated high school, but… one only lasted about two weeks, so i guess i have had two serious relationships since high school. both girls. i do go on a lot of dates though. i use tinder so i go on a lot of dates with people i meet on there, but… it’s usually just a one time thing,” he shrugged. “i like spending my money on people though. and i like romance. i don’t do cheap,” he smiled, “is that okay though? i mean, if i have the money, why not spend it on other people right?” oliver moved his hands to rory’s lower back, pulling his body closer to his own. “what about you? i’m assuming you’ve dated people, but… what makes you hate ‘people like me’ so much?”
“well, i’m still intimidated..” rory answered with a shrug. oliver was becoming less and less intimidating by the day but rory couldn’t help how small oliver could make him feel. he didn’t complain as oliver pulled him onto his lap, them being face to face just giving rory another excuse to kiss him. at the praise his expression turned a little smug, and his face a little red. “mmm, that’s kind of what tinder is for right?” he laughed a little, “i wouldn’t expect it to be more than a one time thing to be honest.” he linked his hands together behind oliver’s neck and nodded, “i mean, it’s your money so you should do whatever you want with it. i’m sure people appreciate it but you don’t want them to appreciate you just for your money.. and i have money too but i’m not much of a spender? nor do i have anyone to really spend it on i guess. it sounds cliche but i just let it sit for a rainy day, in case of anything.” the brunette nodded again, his forehead wrinkling a bit and for a moment he looked a little somber. “yeah. it just never went well. i think it was my fault.. and i never said i hated people like you.” rory narrowed his eyes at oliver, scolding him with his gaze for using such an over exaggerated word. “i’m just wary.. abusive boyfriends tend to do that to you... so i really can’t help it. i’m sorry.”
