Hai there! I'm glad you like the character! I've not done anything with him for a long time and haven't had any need to revive him, but the character has taken on a new life as an NPC in my D&D homewbrew world named Thatcher, an archlich waiting to become a deity.

I think that entering a fighting tournament within a magical steampunk city was probably the most reckless thing they've done together, though they did it separate of each other at the time.

I cannot be the one who tells you what to draw. The ultimate freedom is finding it in yourself to draw for yourself. For a time, I went out of my way to try to draw 'sexy' but I was drawing that mostly for the sake of others. And when drawing things like Law of Talos like I did back in the day, it was under a deadline and drawing with those constraints is not fun for me, so there were many times in my life where I was drawing for the wrong reasons. These days, I draw what I want and what I need. I am a dungeon master for a game of dungeons and dragons set in a world of my creation and I draw artwork of the characters in that story, and beyond that I draw artwork of my own characters in other D&D games. I really should share some of that to Tumblr.... Basically, my advice is to draw what makes you happy! Don't push yourself to make drawing something you only do for attention. Draw for the sake of drawing. Being an artist, no matter the skill, is always a miracle. The want to create is beautiful and I support your journey.

I'm not mad at all, don't you worry! I consider myself to be Pansexual. I only recently found that out about myself in the last few years, but I am attracted to people regardless of gender, so men and women and non-binary and non-gendered folk alike.

Hello! I'm so happy to know you enjoyed my stuff for LoT! My pronouns are He/They. My original idea was that, having yanked the crown off of Lilith's head, Eric had inadvertently absorbed the power she had been wielding and would have been 'taken over' by the will of the city. He would have been at the epicenter of the mass of buildings and metal that was forming there in the final round of the competition. Magneto-style, Eric would be gathering metal and his need to create would have been magnified to the point where it's all he could focus on, the city taking over his mind and Eric taking the city apart because of it, and it would have been a story about the remaining contestants still in the city coming together to take down the ever-forming titan that was absorbing Taitle. Karl, Annie and the Professor, Lucia and Murphy, and Jinam, and Mizuno would have to deal with the titan, but Karl would have been doing it for the sake of actually killing Eric to claim him wish. Jinam and Mizuno would have been the spear of the operation, being Eric's first real friends that he had made, and as cliche as it would have been it would have been the power of friendship that helped save the day. It was 2009 so I was wanting to keep it simple and satisfying. I appreciate the sentiment regarding the tournament though! It's why I don't think I can do OCTs ever again. The New Law of Talos Fandom is somethin' else, good and bad, but it's wild and heartwarming to know something stupid I was a part of so long ago is entertaining people still today.

During Law of Talos he was 17 and he has since aged up to 18-19

Oh gosh, I've never really done a character tutorial before, so I hope this helps! I don't profess to really know what I'm doing when it comes to drawing, but thanks to LoT back in the day, Eric is muscle memory for me at this point. Since Law of Talos, he's gained a little more hair in the back, a shaggier style to his hair, his eyes finally separated, and he gained a fifth finger! Outside of that, his design remains unchanged. He's always been a thin boy with big clunky hands and feet, reminiscent of the rubber hose cartoon characters of yore. Eric's monobrow is usually drawn thicker on the side of his body that is facing outwards and thinner on the side of him facing inwards, but that rule can be broken for the sake of a comedic pose. It's a flexible thing that can fly off his head for the sake of his reactions, and is what makes him so expressive so always feel free to push it for the sake of an expression. OOGH I hope all of this is helpful! It means a lot that you enjoy Eric so much!
