Apparently it will pass...

…but it’s passing like a kidney stone! I present to you, an actual true story, of my life. Storytime: I met the man of my dreams. Sweet, cute, liked Jesus. And he was completely convinced that we were going to get married. Told me every single day. Made plans, set a date. We were already planning our wedding for the next year, he planned to propose, it was awesome. I was stoked. Then he dumped me over the phone out of no where. Literally NO WHERE! and I was devastated. He said it was a God thing and I was confused, because last time I checked God told him to marry me, so… Anyways, he also said it was cause he needed to be single, but oh-ho-ho-no, my friends, because A WEEK after this boy dumped me over the phone, he’s dating someone else. A week. When I called him a month after our breakup, he told me how he was really learning a lot in this time of singleness. … (don’t forget about girlfriend) I actually didn’t find out they were dating until my best friend told me a week after I talked to him, right, but she didn’t just tell me they were dating, no. Those two were freaking ENGAGED. Yes, my friends, loser boy dumped me over the phone while I was planning our wedding, because he needed to be single. He was single for an entire week, dated a girl for a month and then proposed. I didn’t even get an official proposal yet!! Anyways, they got married yesterday. A total of 4 months after he dumped me. And for some reason, I’m still suuuuuppperrrrr upset. I can’t tell you why, mostly because who does that to a person? I’m so over boys.

Could you do prompt 72, 84, and 86 after Draco returns to you after getting his dark mark. Please?

Awe, oh my gosh, I’m going to cry.

Draco had been ignoring you since the beginning of the year, and you were starting to feel quite irritated with him. You knew something was going on, and you had tried to ask him what was wrong, but he had just told you to stay away from him.

You were confused, annoyed, and concerned all at once, your world feeling upside down with him not by your side. You felt cold, empty - worried. Draco had never pushed you away like this, but you were to the point where you just needed to know what was going on.

It was the same day Katie had been cursed with the necklace she had found in the restroom that you had seen the first of Draco in a while. Hours after the accident with Katie and the necklace, you had been sat in the Great Hall next to Hermione, searching your surroundings. Draco was nowhere to be seen. But Katie had just walked into the Hall, acting as if nothing had happened. As soon as she had passed by where you, Hermione, Harry, and Ron were sitting, Hermione had elbowed Harry in the ribs, motioning towards Katie.

Immediately, he had stood up to ask her how she was doing, but you didn’t listen to what she had said. You had been staring at your plate, only listening to the sound of your slow heartbeat, until the whole Great Hall went dead silent, startling you. You snapped your head up to the entrance of the Hall, immediately spotting a disgruntled Draco staring down Katie and Harry with a slightly guilty expression.

“Draco.” You whispered, abruptly climbing up from your seat and running over to him. However, once he had spotted you, he had immediately bolted out the Hall, going in the direction of Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom. You froze, feeling everyone’s eyes on you as you slowed your pace to a walk, following him.

You watched around the corner as he frantically messed with his tie, then went barging into the bathroom. A sigh escaped your lips as you creeped your way past the door, spotting Draco leaning over one of the many sinks lining the wall, his hair drenched. Your chest tightened, your heart breaking at the sight of him breaking down into a fit of sobs right in front of you, your eyes watering instantly.

“Please tell me what I can do.” You whispered through the sound of his gut-wrenching fit of sobs, causing him to freeze in his spot, snapping his head up to look at you through the mirror. Tears streamed down his spotted red cheeks and his nose, dripping down onto the sink. Red blotches lined the edges and inside of his eyes, his skin milky and faint. His chest heaved, his lips quivering under your gaze.

He stayed silent, just searching your expression, finding nothing but worries and silent pleads. Another sob raked through his entire body, his chest heaving as he bent before the sink, shutting his eyes tightly as he felt his face become drenched with salty tears. He tried to calm himself down, focusing on steadying his breathing. You took a step forward, only feet away from him.

“Fine,” You spat, crossing your arms over your chest. “don’t say anything and make me worry.”

Draco opened his eyes, twisting his head up to look at you through the mirror. His eyes pleaded with you silently, begging you to leave, but you hadn’t moved an inch. You both fought the other with your eyes, you pleading for him to tell you something, anything. He silently begged for you to leave, but had given up soon after, turning around to face you.

“Please, just leave.” His lips quivered, his left arm suddenly hiding behind his back. “Just leave.”

You eyed his arm, your curiosity getting the better of you. “Show me what’s behind your back.”

Draco rapidly shook his head at you, denying your command. Done with his secrets, you had stomped up to him, reaching out your hand and grabbing his arm, pulling it towards you.

“Y/N, no.” He begged, his voice weak and fragile. He tugged and pulled against your grip, but his efforts were to no avail. “Please, don’t do this. Just leave, I need you to leave.”

You hadn’t listened to him, reaching your hand up to his sleeve and pulling upwards, the Dark Lord’s mark immediately revealing itself to you. A harsh gasp escaped your mouth, your eyes beginning to burn. Draco sobbed and whimpered in your arms, still pulling against your grip.

“I had no choice.” He whined, his chest burning from the pressure. “It was either me or the people I love. It was either me or you.”

A sob threatened to release from your chest, stuck between your ribs and your lungs, making it hard to breathe. Tears slowly cascaded down your face, making Draco feel a thousand times more guilty.

This was exactly what he didn’t want. He didn’t want you to see him like this. He didn’t want you to see him break down like this as his whole world crashed around him, surrounding him in a suffocating cloud of despair and misery. He didn’t want you to hurt over him, worry about him. You were his world, his everything. His solitude from the battle ground that was his life, an escape from the hidden secrets and dirty work he had to experience due to his family. He didn’t want you involved in this. He wanted the innocence in your soul to stay there for the rest of your life, the innocence he so cherished and admired.

He didn’t want to see you hurt because of him. He just wanted to see you happy.

You had noticed that Draco had buried himself into his thoughts when you looked up at him to spot the usual crease between his forehead. You moved your hands up to his cheeks, cupping them, and brought his face close to yours, your foreheads touching each other. Draco’s eyes immediately drifted to yours, and you moved your lips up to the crease between his eyebrows, planting a gentle kiss upon it until it had disappeared.

“I’m so sorry.” He whispered, his voice cracking.

“No.” You gritted, brushing your lips against his. “Don’t.”

Draco pulled you closer to him, another sob raking his body as you held him close to you, sniffling. His body shaked and quivered in your hold, your arms wound around his neck and fingers threaded through his damp blonde hair.

“I’m so sorry.” He repeated, his large hands gripping your shirt as if he were scared you would disappear in a matter of seconds.

You ignored his apologies, bringing his face up to your neck. After a brutal hour of rocking him back and forth and humming a lullaby in his ear, his harsh, violent sobs had reduced to slight whimpers and quivers.

“Tell me what I can do.” You had whispered through the tense silence, your voice echoing in Draco’s ears, invading his senses and running through every vein in his body.

He had cherished it, moving up to look at you straight in the eyes until whispering, “Just smile.” His eyes pleaded with yours, dull and grey. “I really need to see you smile right now.”

Sometime in the future…

“Alright, Rosie, you know what to do, yeah? Just count to ten and then you have to try and find Sherlock and me, okay?”

Rosie looks up at them with her father’s eyes, swiping her mother’s blonde curly hair out of the way. “Okay, Miss Molly.” She says, forming every word very carefully. She gives a determined nod and then covers her eyes with her hands. She takes a deep breath and then announces her first number loudly, “Zero…”
