I thought this was one of those joke posts where ppl combine like, the most polarizing pop culture figures together to make something comedically awful sounding for shock value like "Zack Snyder says Chris Pratt will be playing the Onceler in his Snyder cut of the upcoming Lorax remake" and then I remembered that Butch Hartman like . Is actually an authority on Danny Phantom. He made that, I guess. He's such an internet court jester at this point and Danny phantom has been so thoroughly reclaimed by Tumblr artists i actually totally separated them in my head

He's not actually an authority on Danny Phantom, and not just for "death of the author" reasons. He does not own the rights to Danny Phantom, even if he was the one who pitched the original idea. Butch Hartman was the producer, and only wrote a couple of the episodes(episodes that didnt do very well) not to mention he really exaggerates how much of it comes from his creativity. In the grand scheme of the show's production, he contributed very little.

If anything I think artists like Steve Marmel and Stephen Silver should be credited with the creation of DP. They're the ones that made it what it is.

I think it's both wild and hilarious Butch Hartman’s need for Danny Phantom to be a copy Spiderman’s homework show (compared to everyone else on the team when creating the show) that he even wants to have Tom Holland as Danny Phantom

The big problem is too that he doesn't even understand spiderman or Peter Parker which is funny cause I feel the worst episodes where when BH wants to go full spiderman/copy spiderman’s HW

these days consist primarily of thinking how fucking cool it is that in Danny Phantom. it. it isn't "i need to keep my identity secret so my villains won't hurt my family". its. "the villains know and dont care about my identity, i need my identity to protect myself against my family" LIKE GOD???

obviously there's heroes, especially other teenage heroes, who are scared because they have some freaky new ability but USUALLY NOT "its my profession to dissect the thing my child is" like GOD

We've all heard of the Danny Phantom corpse au in which he leaves behind a human corpse the first or every time he goes ghost but now let me introduce to you: The Danny Phantom Echo au

It's the opposite of the corpse au where everytime he does the anime girl detransformation he leaves behind a corpse, i.e, an echo of his ghost form. It's not as uhhh real(?) as his actual ghost form. It's not really solid and doesn't really have a mind of it's own and eventually fizzles/fades away on it's own. It just exists, haunting places, hanging around Danny Fenton sometimes, freaking people out as a hobby.

Several echoes can exist at a time if Danny transforms and detransforms several times in a week or so, which is often.

Listen, there’s this blog on Tumblr that posts ridiculous old news headlines (from the 1940’s and earlier) and one of them was this particular headline and quote that I actually found on a Danny Phantom blog and they were right in saying that a ridiculous headline like this could only be about Danny Fenton the half dead superhero kid.

I had so much trouble with this one tbh. My markers don't agree with my line art tools and make it all smudgy, so I have to put colors before fully erasing sketch and I usually find a way to make it work but here I just couldn't. And she doesn't look as feral as I wished she did

I like there hair though. Hair is probably my favourite thing to draw on characters
