I think you're the best Riverdale writer on this site. It's clear that you have a real gift. I was wondering, who are your favorite writers? (On this site, not actual writers..you know)

Oh my god thank you!! That means so much to me. As for writers I like, I honestly don’t follow that many..but the ones who come to mind, who’s fics I always read are:

They’re all really great! And if you write for Riverdale, tell me. I’ll follow you!

Cheryl #9 [The Mindy Project prompt]

“I never thanked you properly for the sex.”

aka, Cheryl loses her infamous virginity on a bleak day

                                 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Cheryl Blossom had an image to uphold. Sexy, mysterious, loyal to her brother. People had heard stories of delectably scandalous affairs in a neighbouring towns’ hotel and even tales of an ongoing ménage à trois with a graduated couple that had gone to Riverdale High. She spoke nothing of the rumours, neither denying or admitting them to a single soul. Only her brother knew that she had been a golden child virgin masquerading as a Godless sex queen.

During her eighteenth birthday, her very first birthday without Jason, she had had no celebration. It was a particularly bitter day with a light fall of snow sticking to the pristine lawn of Cheryl’s home. The house always had a certain chill but ever since Jason had died Cheryl swore the cold had began to nip at her ankles and stroke her throat. She was absolutely frigid and not in the way her mother was.

The one that Cheryl had not anticipated on that day was the arrival of an old friend. You had given her no warning, only dropped your bags at her doorstep and rapped on the door with a confident curl to your bare hand. Once letting you in, Cheryl would scold you for not wearing gloves [she had sent you a pair for your last birthday] and then scold some more about not visiting her in over two years.

It wasn’t as if she was truly mad, in fact, it was more unreasonable that she hadn’t visited you with her abundance of money. But you knew for a fact that once someone had settled in Riverdale, they hardly left. Not even to visit childhood friends or lovers. What Cheryl was to you was a mystery but that didn’t change the rules in the slightest.

You had miraculously left Riverdale but you were doubtful that Cheryl ever would.

Showing up unexpectedly had more to do with the fact that you knew she would be alone without Jason than it did with missing her. But the second you saw her everything spun so rapidly that your composure began to break. There was a sickening twist to all of your thoughts and dizziness became the only tangible point of focus. You felt it slip through your fingers tips and tighten around your neck. It was only when Cheryl wrapped her arms around you when everything steadied again.

Nothing had changed, she was still the only one to truly ground you. And Cheryl was quite confident in knowing that you were the only one left alive to keep her steady as well.

Without quite remembering the first few details, the pair had found themselves in a game of push and pull in the nearest bedroom. A soft hand, Cheryl’s, brushed over the jut of a collar bone and another, yours, cupped the round curve of her behind. Winter-kissed lips found a throat of pearls, sucking gently at perfectly pale skin with pink undertones. A silken scarf found home on a cherry wood floor and pale material possibly identified as underwear hung off the knob of a dresser drawer. Cool fingers found dripping heat at the centre of a flame haired vixen who didn’t have the practice of suppressing a sinful moan behind her shivering lips.

You were floating in pleasure and yet Cheryl was drowning in an abundance of emotions. There was a deep sadness at her core and a blanket of pure obsession melding to her skin. This was everything she had ever wanted in the very worst circumstances. The hand stitched comforter beneath her tattooed her bare skin with tiny flowers–cherry blossoms–and the snow outside danced through the windows to light the room.

A shallow part of you both loved each other, a completely selfish love that felt so completely passive until the right moments. Seeing each other for the first time in two years triggered something so deep within you both but how long would it last?

With your head against her humming chest, your cheek comforted by the rise and fall of her breasts, you imagined running away with her. Your hand crept across her stomach and found her curled fingers. You laced your fingers together and closed your eyes tight, imagining how it would feel to hold that same hand in the city you now lived in.

She would never leave, if there was ever even a chance anyways. He was here, and as long as he rested in the ground she would continue his life for him.

You played the game of lovers a few days longer than you had anticipated. It was when you were lulled to sleep by her lips pressing gently against your forehead that you realized it was time to go back home. You gave yourself one more day to wish her well and run back home to others that would fill the hole Cheryl left within you.

That morning, you did up the back of her stunning red dress and kissed her knees while you laced up her boots. For another moment longer she was your queen. If you could have, you would have carried her out to the car that you would use to drive her off to school.

The parking lot was abuzz with students carrying on with their lives, unknowing that Cheryl Blossom had loved and lost in the past few days. It felt so incredulous to the two of you that no one would ever know the intensity of the change in reality you had just experienced. It was as if Riverdale, Jason and cruelly time birthdays had melted away with the light snow fall.

As Cheryl took the first few steps from the car, your heart prepared to mend itself while simultaneously breaking. “Cheryl?”

Her head turned, a swift motion that carried her soft curls with it, and her dark gaze settled on you. Neither of you quite knew what to expect, so many words unsaid, never to be said.

“I never thanked you properly for the sex.”

Can I have a Reggie request where you're both polar opposites and sorta hate each other but it's a bit flirty and he like comes up to you during a football game and gives you his jersey or something in front of everyone??? I love your blog by the way :)))

*Hope you like this guys!*

It was no secret to anyone that you and Reggie Mantle weresomething; though that something still remained a mystery to everyone in town. The way you both heckled the other, the way you gave each other desperatelooks, even the way that you two talked held notes of passion and interest, butthen the next second you’d turn around and be taunting one another or sayingthings that denounced those same feelings. It may be clear that you two weresomething, but what it was might as well have been a mystery to everyone on theplanet.

Setting down your lunch, you groan when Reggie straddles thebench of the table across the way, eyes on yours as he bites into his apple. Kevinglances that way, raising a brow before turning back to face you, everyone atthe table trying not to talk about it. Well, until Kevin decides he’s hadenough of this silent battle of wits.

“What the hell is going on with you and Mantle today?” Hiswords are brash, making Betty choke on her drink as she gives him a look thatasks if he’s insane.

You shrug your shoulders, tearing away the wrapping aroundthe sandwich your dad made. “Not sure. He’s been acting off all day and won’ttalk to me.” Pausing after taking a bite, you point a finger at Kevin and scrunchup one eye. “He hasn’t even teased me about my obvious stain on this shirt yet.And it’s a white shirt, guys.”

Just as you’ve said that, a voice rings out over the din ofstudents chatting. “Moose, did you notice Y/L/N’s big stain? Looks like theyspit up all over themselves.”

Veronica sighs, noticing you setting down your sandwich andstraightening up. “Did everyone hear about Reggie Mantle crying over some chickflick the other day? I saw him at the movies, and he was sobbing like a baby.”

“Hey! That was a sad…movie…” Reggie trails off, peoplegiving him surprised looks before he turns back to his meal, punching theshoulder of a football player who laughs at him.

Smugly biting into your sandwich again, you give everyone atyour own table a satisfied look. “I think I handled that quite well.”

“Yeah, Y/N, good job pointing out a guys’ sensitivity,”Betty murmurs, picking at her salad and sighing softly. “Maybe if you andReggie actually, I don’t know, talked, there wouldn’t be so much awkward tension?”

You roll your eyes, swallowing and shaking your head. “There’sno talking to a brick wall, Bets. All you can do is take swings at it and hopeit crumbles sometime soon.”

Why your friends had demanded, nay, dragged you to the Bulldogs football game is beyond you, but thatdoesn’t mean you aren’t immediately drawn into the excitement that bubblesthrough everyone. Events like these were bound to have you brimming with prideand pep, even if you usually weren’t one to be so typical andschool-orientated. Rather than scold Kevin for pulling you into the bleachers, you merely wave at Veronica and Betty, happening to see Archie among thefootball players and waving to him as well.

Just as you’re sitting down, Reggie comes running over, leaning against the fencing as he yells your name. Rolling your eyes, you startdown the metal stairs towards him, raising a brow at his smile.

“What do you want, Mantle? Gonna make some good luck remarkbefore you go out there?” You sneer, surprised when he holds out a blue andgold jersey.

“I wanted you to wear this. And maybe we could go out to Pop’safter the win, talk about the chemistry we have going on,” he says, shrugging alittle and waiting for you to accept the offer.

Your fingers reach out slowly, brushing the fabric of hisjersey as you look up into his dark eyes. All you can see is complete trust, affection rushing through you at the proffered gift. “I’d love that.” Snatchingthe jersey from his hands, you slide it on over you, giving him a sheepish grinas you head back to sit beside Kevin.

As you inhale his scent, Kevin starts teasing you aboutbeing a big softie for Mantle, but you don’t even think about his comments. Allyou can see is Reggie’s smile, and that warms your heart more than you everthought anything he did could.
