What is your favorite outfit: my wedding dress…seriously. It’s gorgeous.

What book changed your life: Since I can’t think of a specific book, how about I say fanfiction. The first epic fanfic I’ve ever read, left such an impression on me that it changed my life. That fanfic was written by a college student who didn’t have a degree in writing or years and years of writing experience who wanted to share the story they had; just like me. That was the first time I felt like I could actually write. It was the first time I sat down and wrote something. If someone who wasn’t a published author with a Masters in Literature wrote that masterpiece, then why couldn’t I? Now I’m writing all of the time, getting better and better every day and I WILL write something as wonderful as they had. One of these days :D, but it gave me a better picture of what writing is. It’s not for the ‘experts’ it’s for those who love it.

My brother in law said something I feel is true about writing. “Doctors and Lawyers practice their craft. Most professions DO, not PRACTICE. If I ‘practiced’ at work I’d get fired.”  Fanfic started the idea for me that writing is constantly practiced. It’s something I can get better at without the pressure of failing at it completely. Thank you fanfic authors for inspiring me!

What “life code” do you live by: ‘Do unto others as you would have done unto you’ I always take others feelings and circumstances into consideration…to a fault

What is the one thing you can’t stand in people: superiority complexes. Nothing will piss me off faster than to be talked down to

What is the one thing you can’t stand about yourself: my over-emotionalness

Your strong points: I’m super understanding and helpful. I genuinely want to help everyone I talk to feel better or be better. I think we should all pull each other up instead of tear each other down.

Your weak points: zero motivation, obsession with unimportant things, I can’t let things go until I’ve resolved them,

What do you think you were in your past life:  I don’t even know what I am in this life lol

How is your relationship with your parents: Really good. They are so much better when I don’t live with them

Your life goal: uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Find a calling?

Bucket list top three things: 1.)Travel outside of the country, 2.)Hold a book in my hands that I’ve written, printed and published, 3) have the wedding I wanted but didn’t have because of money and other crap

Your most prized possession: My house. It took years of hell to get to a good enough financial state to buy our house. My husband and I worked really really hard to get it. It’s our dream come true.

How do you react to sudden change: I can roll with it but I need alone time to recharge afterwards. My husband is amazing at dealing with change so I have to be on my toes.

How do you face problems: I don’t. lol I try to avoid problems at any cost but if I HAVE to deal with it. I deal with it head on.

Biggest accomplishment: My family. I have my soul mate and two angels and the best friends and family anyone could ask for. I might not have much in the way of success but my family rocks.

Talents: Writing. I love to write and imagine and tell stories. Hopefully that talent filled hobby will turn into something one  day.

Your deepest darkest secret(optional): I don’t like to keep secrets. They’ve never done me any good.

Your source of strength: My husband. My kids might be why I wake up every day but he’s why I love to.

Your greatest weakness: Lack of ambition. I’d rule the world if I could find the will to want to.

Your priorities: My family and friends. (and writing. Writing is my obsession…I have to force myself to stop and step outside or eat…it’s a problem…but a good problem I guess.)

How do you think other people see you: Those who don’t know me see me as a mouse that could become ensnared by their snake if they so choose. Yet they don’t see my deadly fangs unless I unsheathe them.

What is the one thing you can’t stand in people: Hypocrite 

What is the one thing you can’t stand about yourself: Procrastination

Your strong points: Art (when I acutally finish a piece) and Acting (my own script)

What do you think you were in your past life: Eh, don’t really believe in past lives. But for imagination sake, maybe a spy because of how quickly I can access the correct facial expression I should put on. 

How is your relationship with your parents: I love my mother. I love my father because I have to.

Your happiest memory from your childhood: Lol still a child~ But there was this time where I won a poetry slam. I enjoyed that greatly.

Your worst memory from your childhood: Basically any interaction (past our robot conversations) that goes out of hand.

Describe your best friend from your childhood: I used to have two. I thought that we would be friends forever since we were in the same class (elementary). I introduced them to each other and they became best friends. I believe that it was perfect. Long story short, I was kicked out of the trio. Funny, right?

Describe your current best friend:  Well, I have multiple best friends. I have one that is very blunt and can relate to me in the highest of levels. Then I have one that is smart (book) yet stupid (life) that we just work.

Your most prized possession: Don’t really have one lol. But don’t even think of touching my art supplies without permission or anything that has to do with anime.

How do you react to sudden change: Takes a minute to adjust usually but I get over it in the long run. 

How do you face problems: Begin in the center and work my way to the exit

Biggest accomplishment: Not murdering someone

Talents: Visual arts, Dramatic arts, Singing & Dance (a little)

Your deepest darkest secret(optional): Don’t got one. But my mom would flip if she knew the things I read lol. Oh wait, here’s a secret. I talk to myself a lot. Like I act out different personalities from their dialogue to their actions themselves. So don’t be freaked out if you happen to come at a wrong time. 

Your source of strength: God (though I don’t rely on him as much as I should)

Your greatest weakness: Time. It’s so annoying having to manage it and not let it slip through my fingers.

Your priorities: Get through high school; have a successful career; marry my soulmate and have awesome children; get closer with God; workout more lol

My Writing Process

1. Introduce who referred the blog tour to you

I saw @pancake-with-a-blog had done this and loved it so much I snatched it. BTW pancake’s writing process is the shit. *high fives*

2. Answer the following 4 questions:

a. What am I working on?

When I focus on one project at a time I lose my writing muse’s interest. So I’m currently working on How To Use Death To Make Someone Fall In Love With You, When In Doubt Throw Money At It for @cuzumaki, overhauling and completing Bloody Cards, and finishing little fics for the fic challenges I’m in. (as well as brainstorming for an IT/yugioh au cause I need it in my life XD) Too much? Yeah probably.

b. How does my work differ from others in its genre?

This question is difficult.

My work is very plot heavy. I focus on the story as a whole; the journey that the characters take, their discoveries and the world that unfolds around them. I want my stories to be exciting and draw the reader in, making it impossible to put down and/or move on to something else. (writer goals)

I write mainly AU for that reason. I’m not afraid to pull these characters into ANYTHING.

c. Why do I write what I do?

I’m in love building intricate plots and taking characters that I love and bringing them to life in new ways.

d. How does my writing process work?

1. I start my writing process hand writing a messy outline or brainstorm of the story.

2. I hand write a quick summary of each chapter. Including scenes that need to be in the chapter, character events and why they need to be in there and other little notes to myself to help me remember what I need to write and what I don’t.

3. I type out a full outline with ideas, character bios, etc. (thanks to Sweethearty for this)

4. I type it all out. Chapter by Chapter. Recently I’ve started trying to write the entire story before posting anything. Which is really hard for me to do. I’m so excited to share my writing with everyone that I just want to skip all of the next few stages and post it now. It’s a difficult temptation to conquer….working on it lol.

5. I give it a quick look over to catch mistakes. (I don’t catch much this time around as I’m starting to learn lol. My brain auto corrects everything.)

6. I let my Alpha reader look it over. One Chapter at a time.

7. I get it back from her and look over it again to fix anything.

8. I continue writing until the story is finished repeating all of the process for each chapter.

9. Then I send the whole thing to my Alpha reader and another friend to look over for what’s left.

10. Then I post it.

My writing process when I first started is crazy different than the one I use now. I’m happy with this one so far but I love learning new ways to perfect it. If you want to see an author with mad story outlining abilities, go ask @creativehearty . OMG her outlines are the bomb.

My friend told me about a watercolouring techinque where you mix sugar and water and after “painting” the paper with the liquid, you add the watercolour.

I wanted to try it out and took a couple of photos…
