They have launched a SECOND lawsuit against me.

The case that began in 2019 is mostly over, and I have basically won. I wish it was as simple as leaving it there and walking away. But this new case is taking up even more of my life and unfairly forcing me to spend more and more in legal fees.

This means I’m having to re-open this fundraiser to get out of debt with my legal fees yet again. If this was intended to wear me down even further, I won’t let it. The end is in sight, despite their ridiculous conduct and attempts to complicate things.

Thank you to everyone who is able to help me get to the end of this. Once again, I am so grateful for all your support.

I have essentially won the main case based on the decisions made last summer. The Judge has clearly stated that I own my comics, and that the other party has infringed on my copyright.

It is not over yet, as there are still a few things that need to happen. Hopefully things will all be wrapped up this year. After 6 years of legal battling, I can’t wait to be free of all of this.

Hopefully, this second case will backfire, and they will be sanctioned for filing it. But to get to that point requires a frustratingly large amount of work, time and money.

The previous funds from the lawsuit fundraiser have been spent to get this far. I was hoping to pay for the remainder of the legal fees out of my own pocket, using income from my comics and online shop, as I did for the first few years of the case. But I’m having to open the fundraiser again to pay for this new load of work.

AO3 hid the story and asked OP to remove the tag (the fanfic is not even removed) due to the inflammatory tag. That's deserved. AO3 is not a social media for people to fight over ship and chronically online discourse. It's a library. If people keep bringing DNI and discourse into AO3 it'll make the place toxic for writers and reader.

What are you trying to accomplish with putting DNI? Do you think people actually care about DNI? No, it's just making you looking like an asshole doing this
