All right am just gonna say this  But my pennywise is viewed as a male to me

If you do not like that then tuff I view IT aka pennywise as a Male (Man ) I mean if people wish to see him as a female then fine but do not bash me for viewing pennywise as Male but here the thing even if the books do say he is a female which was said to maybe be female IT is a alien here people so IT is genderless I mean no one fights over Alien in the movie Alien like yeah they view Alien as a female aswell but most aliens have no gender .

Also I had a game when I was younger called night journey into dreams and the chachter nights was viewed by the players to be any gender you see he/she as whlie playing as nights so yeah stop with this fighting with pennywise is female or male alright because IT IS A FREAKING ALIEN SO YOU CAN VIEW HIM/HER AS ANYTHING YOU SEE

Personally, I have a warped perception of IT.

 If IT decides to show itself as Pennywise one day, then that day IT is a male. (Pennywise a a fucking guy don’t try to tell me he isn’t there is nothing female about him) but then if the next day he disguises himself as Beverly, then he’s a girl. 

“All living things must abide by the law of the shape they inhabit” Meaning if Pennywise chooses to inhabit the form of a male clown, he’s gonna have a male reproductive system down there, vice versus. 

The egg laying is irrelevant in this case. Pennywise is an alien beyond out tiny human comprehension, and if he wanted to lay his own damn eggs he would find a way. Not to mention, some male animals in our nature actually care/carry the children. Like seahorses, the male gets pregnant with the babies. 

Penny is far from human, he doesn’t have to live by our rules or normality.
