literally do not trust people who are like ‘jo should have ended up with laurie’ like maybe its bc I absorbed all four little women books at the tender age of eight before I could read into things but I never ever once as a kid thought jo and laurie should be together and when he proposed I was so offended on jos behalf. also jos life of being married to her weird german professor/being a writer/adopting a million kids/setting up a progressive school sounds absolutely ideal and I do not trust you if you don’t think so

right after Harry finds out a dangerous mass murderer has escaped prison and is trying to kill him he is still more upset about the fact he can’t visit the wizard sweet shop on weekends and this is why I love him

lessons for next academic year:

  • if being the best at something tears you down inside then it isn’t worth it at all
  • plan a life for yourself outside of work
  • unproductive rest is far better and more rewarding in the long run than ‘productive’ rest
  • 9 hours solidly working in a library is no way to spend a day
  • don’t deny yourself good food and good cheer
  • reward yourself! you deserve it!!!!
  • sometimes people get ill and that’s okay
  • sometimes people don’t sleep very well and that’s okay
  • don’t give yourself too much to handle - being the most impressive person around will not make you happy
  • friends are the most important thing to have, cultivate those relationships and don’t take them for granted
  • leave the house and stretch your legs - feel how you are more than a brain and that your body is alive and moving
  • don’t be so hard on yourself
  • always choose the light, my friend
