It's actually, sort of a selfie tonight. Spencer is sitting in my lap after all 😉

Big days for me. I have two weeks of holiday, my application for work appointment (so to speak) is proceeding and I signed a lease for a new office space today. I feel like such a grown up, it's strange and scary.

Uh oh, I should be sleeping right now, but I do I listen to sense? No...

I have a question for you writers, if you write original stories or have an interest in it (or if you play rpg's for that matter): do you create character sheets? Writing down descriptions, attributes, dreams and goals and such? And if you do, do you have any good resources to recommend on the subject? Websites, apps etc.

I've had this half-baked story idea in my mind for many years and I would like to do something with it, but I don't quite know where to start. I thought about starting with the characters that currently lack many details, but I guess I just need some inspiration to go further. I tried Pinterest for some image inspiration but I didn't have much luck with my word searches 😑 do you guys have any advice on how to go about organizing a story?

So, life/photo dump?? I feel like I blinked and 2023 was over. I did not make it to as many BFSNs as I hoped, but I still love y'all so much. ❤️

There's been lots of good and bad in the last year. We lost my sweet soul dog Abby in March, just a couple weeks after her 12th Gotcha Day. I still miss her dearly.

I spent a lot of precious time with my family and friends, and helped one of my besties get married in August!! And my older brother is marrying the love of his life in May this year! Love all around!💕

I got a promotion over the summer and it's been really good, but we're understaffed so it's been a looooot of work. We were just approved to hire some extra people, so hopefully things will ease up here soon. I really love the work I do, and I want to be able to do it for a long time. 😊

We had Snowmageddon a couple weeks ago! I think they said we broke every record for snowfall in our area back to around 1910? It was the most snow we've had in a single day since they started keeping written records, and then we had a deep freeze so it stuck around. I think final totals were between 10-12". Schools were out for 9 days!! It NEVER snows like this where I live, so we don't have the equipment and means to clear the roads quickly and get around safely. It was nuts. The picture of my car is from the end of Day 1, and it was still snowing at that point. The last snow picture of my yard at night was from the end of Day 8.

In the midst of Snowmageddon, my dad rescued me in his truck so I could go see the touring Broadway Wicked (twice 😃)! And it was magical both times. ✨️💚

And finally, the sunrise picture is from this morning. 🌄

I can’t believe it’s been 2199 days since my favorite episode of the 100 aired. Seems insane. I’m so glad to have met all of you brilliant and amazing people through this show. Much love! Here’s us closing out my city’s annual Ukrainian festival on the weekend. The crowds this year were ridiculously huge! So nice to see so many people supporting the arts and Ukrainian culture after the pandemic and the war have had such negative impacts. And the sunset right after we performed was stunning. I wish I had a picture!

And happy day 2199!! Gonna take tonight to reflect on what bellarke has brought to me (with a flashback photo to the first time I ever did a bfsn🥲). I joined in pretty late to the fandom - started watching in 2019 - and then stalked a lot of you on here for a while before I had the courage to start interacting with y'all😂. Who knew that this small corner of the internet would be what helped me get through the covid years! This little community brought me so much joy and actually gave me hope to look forward to in the dark times ("we still breathing?"). I looked forward to every BFSN, every BWC, everyone jumping on and engaging after new episodes; I fell in love with fanfiction (cause forreal bellarke fam has got some of the best of the best and I'm waiting for some of y'all to publish real books cause I will buy them in a heartbeat!!). I can't remember if there was anything else I was planning to say haha but thank you thank you thank you for being such a bright spot in my life - love you, all of my "internet friends" (as my real life friends refer to you), even those who aren't on here anymore/aren't really involved with bellarke anymore🖤

Wow, it's been a minute. Thank you so much to my lovelies @togetherkru @roguetwelve @carrieeve @ninappon @natassakar @jeanie205 and @infp-with-all-the-feelings for tagging me this week and so many weeks previously 🙈.

I'm sorry I've been so absent. Work has been absolutely hellish for the last few months and I've been devoting a lot of time to self care, which has included cutting my social media use to almost nothing haha. But I couldn't miss this week (even though I'm late 🙃)!!! Y'all are still one of the best things that has happened to me, and I'm forever grateful for our beautiful Bellarke fam! I love seeing your lovely faces and everything you have been up to! You all are such wonderful souls! 😘😘😘

These pics are from my bestie's birthday weekend back in March! Her friend is a pilot, so the weekend included a joyride for the 3 of us in her cute little plane. 😍

I haven't got much to say this week, work's mad and I can't wait for Christmas, even if it's really one day off. But here, enjoy the outtakes of me trying to take a photo of Spencer in a Santa hat. She's not a fan but once a year, I can't help myself.

Hey Sunflowerkru! 🥶

It’s almost Christmas even though it really doesn’t feel like it. We weren’t able to put on our usual production of the Nutcracker for a whole bunch of different reasons… Which makes me really sad because it’s my last year and it’s my favorite show to perform. But the film version that was created for the pandemic was shown at the theatre and we surprised the audience by bringing up the screen and performing the waltz of the snowflakes live which was special in its own way ☺️❄️

I still haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet and it’s -31º so I don’t really want to start. But I guess that’s a problem I can solve tomorrow. Right now I’m just going to curl up under a bunch of blankets with Charlie in my lap and try to stay warm.

I can’t wait to see all of your Christmas photos next week!

@carrieeve @roguetwelve @igotbellarkeforthat Thank you for tagging me, ladies! And a special thank you for your special thoughts. Means a lot. Thank you also for all your words of comfort and encouragement on my last posts. I can't put into words how important even your support from afar is to me. My sister got her first round of chemicals yesterday and all in all she's doing okay today. She has to got to the hospital every week now for about 12 weeks. The whole treatment is scheduled for 24 weeks, more or less. We all hope that the tumor has shrunken by the end of the 12 weeks....

To get ourselves distracted we visited the nearby Marienburg Castle last weekend, where a beautiful christmas wonderland/fairytale with wonderful decorations took place. It's so hard to decide, but here you have a few photos from there. It was quite nice and the right distraction in this trying time.

Hi Sunflowerkru !! Here I am again after 5 intense days in Berlin with my 47 students. I’m so sorry for last week, i even didn’t tag anyone lol… We had some minor problems to deal with (a boy who smoked, some students who were sick) but nothing serious in the end. It was very cold (-2°C) but the city was already decorated for Christmas, and the atmosphere was magical. After 2 years of Covid and anxiety, it felt good. And the students were, I think, overall very happy. They saw a lot of things in a short time.

For the pics you’ll find : Alexander Platz, das Brandenburger Tor, die Hackesche Höfe, East Side Gallery, Schloss Sans Souci in Potsdam (I take the risk to show you the group, but i don’t think anyone can recognize anyone here…) and a Christmas Market.

Now my life is back on track, between work and family, and I am thinking of you all.

@togetherkru thanks for the tag and wow! Would you look at those photos?! I’m so jealous about what looks like an awesome trip but boy, I could not take care of the kids. You’re a rock star.

As for me, I actually have a selfie on this selfie night ;-) over the weekend, I finished knitting a jumper for myself–the very one I’m wearing here. I was gonna get up and take a picture of it but Spencer came for cuddles and I just couldn’t shoo her away so a compromise happened. It was a very simple design and a very well written patter, and for my first one ever, I think it came out nicely (this photo also nicely hides all the imperfections, like too long sleeves 😁)

On the other hand, work is mad. With the end of the year approaching, I caber remember my name. But we’re dealing.

Karolina, awesome job with the jumper! It’s looking good! I think Spencer has gotten used to being your model and wouldn’t let you hog the spotlight by yourself.

These pics are from the other weekend when the snow really started coming down and creating that whole mess with the traffic. But before that happened I was enjoying some time with my family at a garden center/cafe where we went to have a fika (noun (or verb); to have coffee, usually with cake) to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Afterwards we looked around the garden center with their adjoining greenhouse. such a wonderful little oasis 😍

As for me, I actually have a selfie on this selfie night ;-) over the weekend, I finished knitting a jumper for myself–the very one I’m wearing here. I was gonna get up and take a picture of it but Spencer came for cuddles and I just couldn’t shoo her away so a compromise happened. It was a very simple design and a very well written patter, and for my first one ever, I think it came out nicely (this photo also nicely hides all the imperfections, like too long sleeves 😁)

On the other hand, work is mad. With the end of the year approaching, I caber remember my name. But we’re dealing.

It’s been… a minute since I’ve participated and all I really have to say for myself is that life has been busy and I haven’t really been on any social media in the last few months. Hi everyone ☺️

It’s been a few weeks for me too. It’s bitterly cold here (currently feels like -22C with the wind) and most of the pretty lights aren’t up yet so there hasn’t been much to take pictures of.

So here’s a picture of my ‘never ending’ knitting project. I already restarted it from scratch once and I keep getting frustrated and putting it down for months at a time haha. But all I have left if the final row putting the cowl together, so maybe it’ll be finished before Christmas? 😅

Hi Sunflowerkru !! Here I am again after 5 intense days in Berlin with my 47 students. I’m so sorry for last week, i even didn’t tag anyone lol… We had some minor problems to deal with (a boy who smoked, some students who were sick) but nothing serious in the end. It was very cold (-2°C) but the city was already decorated for Christmas, and the atmosphere was magical. After 2 years of Covid and anxiety, it felt good. And the students were, I think, overall very happy. They saw a lot of things in a short time.

For the pics you’ll find : Alexander Platz, das Brandenburger Tor, die Hackesche Höfe, East Side Gallery, Schloss Sans Souci in Potsdam (I take the risk to show you the group, but i don’t think anyone can recognize anyone here…) and a Christmas Market.

Now my life is back on track, between work and family, and I am thinking of you all.

Karolina, awesome job with the jumper! It’s looking good! I think Spencer has gotten used to being your model and wouldn’t let you hog the spotlight by yourself.

These pics are from the other weekend when the snow really started coming down and creating that whole mess with the traffic. But before that happened I was enjoying some time with my family at a garden center/cafe where we went to have a fika (noun (or verb); to have coffee, usually with cake) to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Afterwards we looked around the garden center with their adjoining greenhouse. such a wonderful little oasis 😍

These were taken at Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park! We did a short hiking trail across the lake that is accessible by boat, it was an absolutely gorgeous day! And on the boat ride back, we saw a grizzly bear and a black bear on one of the banks (through binoculars, thankfully they were pretty far away 😅).

I don’t have any good pictures this week so like Kim I’m going to throw it back to my mountain adventures.

Here’s Horseshoe Lake - a now TikTok famous cliff jumping spot (don’t do it. People die. I was seriously covering my eyes constantly). And another shot of the Aurora Borealis.

It’s now officially Fall here too. Things are getting cold and dreary. But we’re back on tour so hopefully I’ll have a chance to snap a pic or two out east. If not, you get more backstage shots lol.

Kim - I just love mountain lakes so much. And all of the colors of the rocks make that one even better. Also laughing about the bears. I was (accidentally) way too close to a black bear once. They’re not too bad as long as their cubs aren’t around. But a grizzly is 😳

Dear 🌻-kru, of course I wish you the best tuesday today too! And thanks again for all your lovely wishes and thoughts for me throughout the last couple of weeks. I’m finally feeling a bit better, can move around a bit more without much pain. Of course I still need painkillers through the day and especially at night to get some sleep. I have to be patient. But now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. At least physically. I avoid thinking too much about my mental health these days. I just try to let myself recover and dream through the days.

I still can’t sit or stand very long (or stay very long in ANY position tbh…😪), so I don’t think I can participate in TheBestOfThe100 event, but be sure that I’ll reblog the hell out of your creations.
