Last episode of SPN was filmed today!
Okay so I know I just cancelled them like a week ago for being problematic butttttttt they’re ending and now I’m sad so here we are
Supernatural, despite its flaws, has given me a lot of joy in this world. Gave me a way to pass time, a super great tumblr account that I love, my best friend (hi @oh-for-chucks-sake), many great mutuals, and also some cool merch! It has changed my life and I wouldn’t be at this exact place in life if the show didn’t exist.
There’s a lot I’ll miss about it, however let us not forget that it existed. There’s a lot of great things that was birthed out of the creation and continuation of the show. While there are always negatives, talking about the show in either capacity keeps it alive. I think that’s what we ought to do. Just because the show is ending doesn’t mean it’s fandom or memory should end.
All great things must come to end and here we all. See you all in a few weeks for the last stretch of episodes!

- The constant queerbaiting. I feel no further explanation is necessary.
- Treating Misha/Castiel like shit. He’s not even in the finale of the show that he carried on his back for 11 years. That’s absolute bullshit. And also- the lack of Castiel in literally any of the previous two seasons. The rumored reason for this? Misha stood up to the writers.
- The god-awful, monotone quality of the previous three seasons. The show has declined so much that I’ve honestly had a great deal of difficulty watching it. As some of you may have noticed, I rarely post anymore. The sucky seasons lately are a direct reason. They literally suck so hard I can’t even enjoy the show anymore.
- The endless, repeated storylines. Character death literally means nothing to me. It has no impact whatsoever. The next episode could have Dean and Sam getting killed and I would not blink at all.
- The lack of variety in storylines. We’ve been stuck on the same loop of apocalypse and/or Dean-centric storylines for essentially everything s4 and forward. They haven’t even been good storylines. Like only the MOC/Deanmon storyline was good, everything else was horrible.
- The cast doing problematic things. Here’s a link to where you can read up on everything that’s been considered bad by other people. There are a few points that are arguably iffy, so it’s up to you to decide what to make of it. Just putting it out there.
I also want to note: this show has gotten so problematic that this cancel party was started by the FANS. And honestly? I fully back it. I’m sick of the repeated issues in this show, even after major audience feedback specifically bringing it up. This show needs to be doing better, however it’s not. I hope they can pull it together for the last seven episodes. Until then, #cwspnisoverparty.

Hey do any of y’all know if there’s any episodes of Supernatural that take place in Yosemite?
I’m trying to look online but my connection is really sketch rn. Currently in Yosemite lol
I couldn’t sleep, so thank you for giving me a project! I couldn’t find anything. The only reference I could find to Yosemite was in 5x1, when Sam and Dean were on the plane and Yosemite Sam was on the tv. Sorry.
It’s all good! I really appreciate you took the effort to help me. Thank you! It’s really kind of you. There’s not enough time now, but the more I look into creepy Yosemite stories and whatnot, the more it seems like a really great source of lore for Supernatural to use.
