help needed please!

my cousin and his fiancee live in seattle while the rest of our family is located in michigan. this past week, there was a major fire in their apartment building. none of the fire alarms went off. it was about midday, but because they both work third shift, they were sound asleep. my cousin only woke up because one of their cats jumped on his chest because it was petrified, startling him awake. they tried to grab their pets, but the one that saved their lives wiggled out of their grasp and hid. they crawled out of the apartment building and went down several flights of stairs without being able to see or breathe. just as they were outside and begging the firemen to go inside and save their cats and their ferret, the roof collapsed. 

they lost everything.

not only their pets, but all their clothes, money, furniture, belongings - all of it’s gone. they didn’t have insurance, either; they couldn’t afford it.

they were offered a place to stay by the red cross but turned it down because they had a friend they could crash with and they knew other people needed it more. 

they were planning on getting married during an upcoming eclipse, but they can’t do that anymore. they lost all their documents - birth certificates, social security cards, etc. - and can’t get new ones unless they fly to michigan and get them, which they obviously can’t right now. 

any and all aid you can offer is appreciated. they need our help now more than ever, but none of our family can afford to fly out to see them right now. even just a dollar could be the difference between jon and laura having clean clothes or getting a hot meal. anything you could donate would be appreciated. nothing can replace the love and the companionship their pets gave them, but maybe we can help them get a more permanent roof over their heads.
