Putting the Dog to Sleep
The following is a reflection of our tragic boys Tarjei and @danesbury finalizing their divorce as they signed the papers and bid each other farewell.

Danesbury-WyrmrestAccord: Happiness is fleetin’, Tarjei, but I am happy righ’ now. More than I was with Maxwell. It ain’ serious, but I will take what I can get.
Tarjeii-WyrmrestAccord: slowly nodded his head as he turned his eyes to the canals before them. “I am glad you’ve found your happiness again, that is all I wished for you.”
Danesbury-WyrmrestAccord: let out a quiet snort, looking to the canals himself. “Well, who knows how long it’ll las’. I don’ expect it ta, but like I said, I’ll take what I can get."
Tarjeii-WyrmrestAccord: would slowly nod his head in agreement. "Neither of us were meant to be, but for the time we had one another, perhaps, that was meant to be. As at that time we were what each other needed. Even if, it wasn’t meant to last as our hearts had so desired. It is easy to love, but it is harder to know when it has become merely an obsession or a desire to not be alone.”
Danesbury-WyrmrestAccord: narrowed his eyes slightly. “What are ya suggestin’, Tarjei?” He said, voice low and deadly. “I don’ deny tha’ out marriage was unhealthy in points, but it don’ mean I ever stopped lovin’ you. I will never, ever forget what we had. I do cherish it, despite th’ faults.”
Tarjeii-WyrmrestAccord: remained perfectly calm and neutral in tone and appearance. “I am merely suggesting that this was the wisest path we could take. You might not see it now but in time I am in hopes you might.”
Danesbury-WyrmrestAccord: let out a derisive snort. “It migh’ seem wise ta you, ‘cause you don’ have tha’ emotion ta hold ya back, but I still do. Tha’ ain’ changin’. I am happier than I have been, yes, but I would not consider m'self truly happy. I still need ta find m'self. I can only hope it will come in time.”
Tarjeii-WyrmrestAccord: slowly glanced at him still remaining calm and neutral. “I hope you will as well, for what it is worth.” He said seeming not interested in saying anything more as what worth was there in an emotionless clean slate’s words.
“Prove to me
I’m not gonna die alone
Put your arm 'round my collar bone
Open the door
Don’t lie to me
If you’re putting the dog to sleep
That pet you just couldn’t keep
Couldn’t afford
Well prove to me
I’m not gonna die alone
Unstitch that shed off soul
To close up the hole that tore through my skin
Well my trust in you
Is a dog with a broken leg
Tendons too torn to beg
For you to let me back in
You said I can’t prove to you
You’re not gonna die alone
But trust me to take you home
To clean up that blood all over your paws
You can’t keep running out
Kicking yourself off the bed
Kicking yourself in the head
Because you’re kicking me too
Put your trust in me
I’m not gonna die alone
Put your trust in me
I’m not gonna die alone
I don’t think so” - The Antlers- Putting the Dog to Sleep
