jay did not want to be pathfinder. he believes he is under-qualified and does not have the maturity nor the ability to make wise decisions on a whim like his father would be able to do. he deems his father as unprofessional and careless for saving him over saving everyone who came to andromeda, looking for a new home. jay is extremely emotional and hates his father for putting so many innocent people at risk. he relies very heavily on his squad mates ( especially cora ), using them as a crutch for support and advice on what to do and what not to do. jayden is not perfect by any means, he constantly makes mistakes because he’s learning as he goes.
