Fun design for the band
This is something cool I've been up to
This build from Scale using my neck is bonkers
Happy Saturday
Time for a complete rewire and tune up before I head out
Workshop shelving started. I need to rework the efficiency. Cut down on clutter.
Finally grabbed a real tool that is meant for the job.
Here's a chance to skip the line, @dunable_guitars opened a very limited number of spots to grab my neck on his guitars. Starting at $2450, these things are insane.
Possible chance to skip the wait via @dunable_guitars keep your eyes peeled, I'm guessing the allotment I have set aside for him is going to be gone in a flash.
Two and a half days almost to the mark, my time estimates have been dead on, I'm really happy today.
Day 3 of 5
Day 2 of trying necks full time
New website finally! Has email list built in finally! No more weird link to a google form!
Girih - Eigengrau
Girth is a band with a forward-thinking approach to their songwriting, falling somewhere in between eerie textures and dream-like melodies. It would be quite easy to pigeonhole them in the post-rock scene, as artists such as Russian Circles certainly come to mind. While the similarities with the most heralded names of that scene certainly come to mind, Girih certainly stands out with a very distinctive personality. On “Eigengrau”, the group managed to showcase an uncanny ability to play on the dynamic contrast in their arrangements, allowing math rock influences to creep in, without dominating their sound entirely. Their songs can easily move from whisper-quiet to mountain-crashing devastation. The crystalline guitar melodies give way to blaring guitar tones, which sounds monolithic and aggressive. Even at their most aggressive, Girih managed to retain a lot of melodic sensibilities in their sound, layering different textures through the clever use of looping techniques and other tricks of the trade.
