I always hated that "ron is inferior" argument. Hermione wasn't looking for a debate team partner or someone to co-write her thesis - she found somebody that loved and accepted her, knew her flaws and attributes like the back of his hand. I'm sure there were plenty of smart boys in the many classes she took but it always came back to Ron, because he's the boy that loves her and would fight to defend her. Don't people know Hermione? She doesn't want a genius mind, she wanted a good person.
👆👆👆 I think these people dont know Hermione, or Ron, or most of the Harry Potter characters they love to compare them with—frankly, sometimes I wonder what obscure edition of the books they read. I know we all project into our favourite characters, but maybe not to the point of completely erasing them and filling them up with what we want to see?? Hermione was my first favourite HP character and one of the bunch of female characters in literature I’ve always related to, and it was so inspiring and hopeful to see this boy who became friends with her even if they clashed a little at first, then started to actually care a lot about her out of genuinely liking her, then started to see something more in her despite her not being conventionally beautiful, and ultimately ended up choosing her, and she choosing him, and they had their happily ever after. It’s insulting to see people treating her as a cardboard character, erasing her most human traits and deciding what random character she’s best suited for this week after ticking some compatibility boxes and reading AU fanfiction.

I sometimes get messages about my fics and see other authors get messages like “oh my god im sorry to bother you but-” or apologizing profusely for sending multiple asks.
I promise you guys. Absolutely 0 writers are bothered by you talking to them about their fics. If you want to know a detail or are confused about something they are almost definitely sitting ready with an answer that they are excited to talk about.
Don’t feel like you HAVE to message writers (tho if you liked a fic a lot leaving comments is great encouragement) but never apologize for asking about fics or talking about them!

From Out and Beyond [Rated: T - WIP - Friendship/Romance - 59,995 words - Parings: A LOT of Romione and Drinny] Dumbledore assigns Hermione to take care of a mysterious necklace that has been locked up in Azkaban for centuries. Little does she know it, there is a living thing within the necklace that is about to awaken from one fateful wish, that will change her forever. Goes from the start of OotP to the end of it.
Behind These Cold Walls [Rated: M - WIP - Romance/Hurt/Comfort - 11,834 words - Paring: Romione] Prince Ronald and Princess Hermione fall into a pool full of roses. The only problem is, their kingdom hates each other. Will they prevail or fail? Join them on an adventure full of friendship, happiness, grief, betrayal, anger and most importantly, ROMIONE ROMANCE!
