“H-Homeworld made a colony t-there ages ago…..I wanted t-to stay there…..but….I-I was taken away 9-9'000 years ago.”

“9,000 Years?! Jeez, Lab, how old are you?” And why wasn’t he told aliens were on Earth 9,000 years ago?

9'521." Lab replied "Of course.....very p-primitive humans were around b-back then....long before the R-Rebellion..."

Lab nodded “W-Watch this.” She said before she retreated into her gems….after a minute, she reappeared “See?” Lab said

Lance’s jaw dropped. He couldn’t believe what he saw. He blinked and landed Blue in the castle and looked at Lab. “Holy smokes, that’s amazing!”

Lab smiled and giggled "Im....a-actually from Earth....I-I was made there...."

“Actually you?” He looked at the gems and then to her face. “So wait. When you say you’re name is labradorite you mean you’re a literal labradorite jewel?”

Lab nodded "W-Watch this." She said before she retreated into her gems....after a minute, she reappeared "See?" Lab said

“Light? That’s super cool.” Lance looked back at her for a second before going back to flying Blue. “So your body is just like, hardened light? That’s really cool. Do you need to eat since you’re body isn’t technically organic?”

“Exactly t-that and I can eat….b-but I dont n-need to.” Lab replied to him

“Neat…” He thought about the implications. That was really something. “So where do you get your energy from? Light?”

“……I-Im not sure.” Lab said as she thought about it

Lance hummed. He looked at the gems on her hands and got curious. “Are those gems part of the light illusion too?”

"O-Oh....No...the gems are v-very real. Y-You could say those g-gems....are actually m-me." Lab said as she held her hands out to him...so he could get a better look

Lance hauled her along, passing by some of his teammates whom he introduced Labradorite to. Once on Blue, Lance started talking to her. “So, Lab, do you mind if I call you that? Can you tell me how you did that sick shape shifting move?”

Lab watched before she tried to answer as best as she could "A-All gems have the a-ability to shapeshift. Some d-do it more than others. Y-You see.....the only way y-you see me....is becuase im made o-of bended light.....w-which we can bend more t-to shapeshift."

“Right!” He held his hand out for her. “Come on, I’ll get you back to Blue.”

She gently took his hand and went with him

Lab giggled and hugged him back "I-Im ok! How are y-you?"

Lance blinked. “Holy crow, you can shapeshift.” That was so cool! He walked to her in the cleared corridor with a bright smile. “That was incredible!”

She blushed and hid behind her hair “Y-You really think s-so? Most people g-get scared of me.”

“No way, that was awesome! I’ve seen shapeshifters before but never anything that extensive.” He smiled widely at her. “You’re amazing!”

She smiled a little "W-We should go."

Lance blinked. “Holy crow, you can shapeshift.” That was so cool! He walked to her in the cleared corridor with a bright smile. “That was incredible!”

Shit, this poor lady. She was way too pretty to be kept in such horrible conditions. The others he found looked scarily similar to her but he figured they were from the same family or something? She had that gem on her hand… 

“I would. And it’s what I’m going to do!” He blasted her chains and held a hand to her. “Come with me?”

The gem gasped when he shot the chains off. She looked up at him and stood up. “T-Thank you, p-paladin.” She said shyly, as she took his hand…her gems glew softly giving off a safe feeling. 

Whoa, the gem glow was cool. “Anytime.” He winked at her and hurried her to safety. Which would’ve been easy were it not for the five sentries now shooting at them. They stood in the way of their escape route and Lance needed to do something! “We need to get those sentries out of the way!”

The gem blushed a light blue color when he winked at her however it soon disappeared when the sentires got in the way. She huffed and stood up "B-Be right back." She said before she shape shifted into a Terror Bird and attacked the sentires.....once they were done she reverted back to her normal state and looked back at Lance.
