The people who want more book accuracy have been grumbling about things deviating from the books since the games came out :p

Honestly, everyone would be a lot happier if they just realized we're traversing down parallel timelines that look similar but have their own stories to tell. We're essentially watching Wither fanfic with a Netflix budget. Would that more fandoms have such coinage.

Anyway, yeah, I do have some thoughts about it.

Spoilers under the cut!

So just to recap the last few lines of the prophecy, "the Lark's seed shall carry forth the first note of a song that ends all times, and one of her blood shall sing the last."

Ahh! I can't believe I forgot the dandelion at the start but yes!

And yeah, Jaskier is a main character now. I don't think the showrunners thought we'd latch on to him as much as we did, but it's hard not to when Joey Batey is just so clearly in love with what he's doing and bringing pure bardic chaos energy to every scene he's in.

It helps that he's a massive, Shakespearian-trained, fantasy-loving nerd who can actually sing and play the lute and has the personality and energy of a 6-week old labrador.

Some jerk traced my drawing and barely changed it while somehow making it look way more ugly and unfriendly, and then put it up on their Redbubble shop! Ugh!

Thankfully the last time someone stole my work I was able to report it and have it taken down, so I will fill out the report thingy for this one too.

AUs where either Geralt or Jaskier fake their own deaths after the mountain are good but what about an AU where Jaskier doubles down and fakes Geralt's.
