i wish birds brought ME presents

No, but think about this.

The crows she feeds obviously have their own little lives. They go about their business, and they spot *pretty thing* or /unique thing/ in question. What gets me is that the *first* thing on their minds as recipient of this thing is the little girl that feeds them.

They spot a thing, and immediately must think, “that nice girl with delicious foodstuffs must have this to show my gratitude.”

It’s actually more than that, though, if you read the articles or watch the videos. This has taken place over YEARS- it started with these birds following this little girl around because she was a messy eater and it has turned into a ritual for the family. They have a water station and food stations where they daily set out things for these birds and sometimes (but not always), these birds leave ‘payment’ behind for the food.

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE

These birds are not just taking food and leaving shinies. These birds are watching over this family now. Their lives have become involved. These crows are keeping track of this girl and her mother even when they are out of the yard. How do we know?

One of them is a photographer, and one day while she was photographing some stuff on a bridge, she dropped her camera’s lenscap over the edge. There was no way she could get it back, so she left it. When she got home, the lenscap was sitting on the edge of one of the feeding stations, waiting for her.

Not only were the birds following and watching over her, they were smart enough to realize she dropped an Important Thing and cared enough to bring it back to her.

Hello everyone! I pray you are all safe. We, as part of this fandom, are planning a fundraiser event to motivate people to donate to this cause and help as much as possible. This is based on other fandom-held fundraising events (especially on Twitter) like the ones you will see when visiting the Twitter accounts @TGCFaction or @MDZSaction.

As a first step, we're doing an interest check here.

We are working through the details of the event, for now we want to see if enough people would be interested in participating and then we will create a blog specifically for the event. Please vote and share! DM me here, or on Twitter as @sevikittty if you need anything!

Being abused at home, bullied at school and lost in the world, the library and all the books I could escape to the most amazing worlds, kept me alive!

I would walk to the library, and spend all day, from 10 am to 9 pm reading there!! I got special awards for how many books I read, I wrote little blurbs on why i loved the books (probably why I love to BETA and do ARCs)

As a 50 year old woman, the library offers me so much. Digital art pads to borrow, 3D printing, book clubs that are face to face (yeah, the introvert likes face to face because a moderator will stomp on anyone getting snarky)

New books in LARGE PRINT! I’m visually challenged and as much as I love my kindle, The feel of a real book in my hands will always be a beloved feeling!

Our library also has quarterly books sales of almost free books!! For 5$USD we get in a day early and can buy as many as we want. Anyone else has to wait and there is a limit for the first 2 days.

Also many, many libraries have inter library loan(it may be called something different). This means if they don’t have the item you want, they can get it for you. This may include photocopy/pdf of articles. This can also include along with books and DVDs, microfilm/fiche which is also a huge resource. Check around for libraries that are listed as depositories if you want to look at government documents.

Remember that many colleges and universities have open stacks for the public. You will likely have to pay a membership fee but you will get to stuff.

The library was one of my favorite places to go as a kid and I still live to go and just. Sit and read. Or do homework. The university I’m at has a massive 8-story one I love to just wonder around in~ Great places

Libraries are amazing places, we need to protect them to ensure their continued existence.

I used to wander about the fiction section in my local library, and choose books with the most interesting titles - I discovered two amazing authors that way

If you feel disconnected from your local community & want to find ways to get involved, seriously consider spending some time at the library. Go to some events! Organize a reading group!

so, my friend is starting their journey into the world of sims4 cc, and i had an idea to post my recommendations for cc in terms of sims4! 

MAIN MODS:

-basemental drugs (basemental mods) whole life changer

-mc command center (deaderpool) ik everyone talks about it, but theres a million features that can help in all parts of the game

-better exceptions (twistedmexi) helps show which mods may be broken!

-extreme violence (sacrificial) fun for if you want to fight or kill random sims. brutal. 

-dont wash dishes where you angry poop (scumbumbo) tired of sims using bathroom sinks to wash dishes? me too

-relationship and pregnancy overhaul (lumpinou) overhauls the entire pregnancy and relationships in sims

-childbirth (pandasama) literally huge ohmygod, adds actual birth animations, different ways to give birth like homebirth or c-section

CAS:

-stand still in cas (mizoreyukii) keeps your sims standing still in cas instead of the random animations!! game changer

-more cas columns (weerbesu) adds more options for columns, instead of the regular two.

-height slider (luumia) adds different height options for your sims!

-cas background, there are a bunch of different colors and backgrounds!

HAIR creators: 

-daylifesims, makes beautiful hair that looks almost maxis mix!! fav hair creator

-okruee, adds amazing male and female hairs for sims

-the kunstwollen, almost clayified alpha hairs? really cute for my sims

-dogsil, love love LOVE dogsil hairs, they are gorgeous!!
