JUMIN φ Today was the day! φ Chairman Han was coming in for a visit, φ just to meet you. φ No pressure, haha! Right? φ Please someone say something. φ It was an hour before the scheduled dinner reservation, and you had yet to start on your make-up. φ Now, you’ve touched up with some lip gloss and mascara here and there before.. φ But meeting your significant other’s father, who is the CHAIRMAN of C&R International, calls for a much more elegant look! φ “Jumin, I will finish getting ready in the master bathroom, okay?” φ “Yes, my love, do whatever would please you.” He smiled softly, looking at you in your sleek black dress and heels. φ “You look beautiful already.” He planted a kiss on your cheek as you grabbed your phone from the nightstand. φ You smiled and made your way to the bathroom, closing the door behind you, and flipping the mirror lights on. φ Deep breath, MC, it will be as smooth as butter to do some make-up. φ You sighed, and pulled up YouTube on your phone. φ Maybe if I just watch someone do it, it will be easier? φ You tapped your keyboard and searched up a natural glam look tutorial, clicking on the first video to pop up. φ You turned the volume down to where you could barely hear it, so Jumin wouldn’t notice. φ You would think it would be embarrassing if he heard you following a make-up tutorial step-by-step, right? Maybe? Ugh, let’s just get this over with MC! φ “Hi everybody! Today, we will be doing a GLAM natural look! Who doesn’t love some glam?” φ MC doesn’t. At all. φ “Alright guys, first we will need to prep our skin with some primer!” φ You proceeded to dump your cosmetic bag out onto the sink counter, and searched for a primer. φ After picking it out, you spread it evenly on your face. Great start! This is going well. φ “Now, let’s start with the eyes! First, we are going to comb through our brows and define the underline.” φ You pick up your brow pencil, and smudge it under your brows. φ … this isn’t the right color.. but that’s okay! Let’s just uh.. comb it through! φ Didn’t work.. so you carry on with the video. φ “Bring that product to the top of your brow and meet the bottom at the tail, and fill in from the tail to the front of the brow.” φ Simple enough! Just a couple of steps and oH MY GOD φ “.. I have block brows..!” You muttered. You hurried to the next step in hopes it would bring the look closer together.. “Trust the process, MC!” φ “With the eyeliner, you want to bring it from your lash-line, fling it out, and connect it back to the lid. φ You scatter through your make-up to find a liquid eyeliner. φ “I’m pretty sure I got this in high-school..” φ You hurriedly followed the steps on both eyes, and stepped back to see the make-up was seriously botched. φ Tears pricked your eyes as you tried to fix the eyeliner by going over and over and over it again for each eye to match, in turn making it even worse. φ Then, there was a knock at the door. φ You plucked out a red lip and lined your lips, filling them in quickly as you paused the video. φ “Dear, are you almost done?” Jumin’s voice was slightly muffled from the other door-side. φ “Y-Yes! Just a moment, please.!” You stuttered, your voice cracking from the cry you kept in your throat. φ “Is everything alright?” He sounded concerned, even though he was not sure what could’ve gone down with the make-up. φ “Yes, Jumin! Please, I will be out in a moment!” You opened your make-up bag, trying to scrape all your cosmetics into it, but you ended up dropping a glass foundation bottle. φ The sound startled you, causing an audible gasp. φ “MC! Are you al-” Jumin opened the door and held it open, looking at the bottle, and then you.. “right..?” φ You stared at him, slowly putting the bag back on the sink, the foundation seeping out of the cracked bottle and onto the cold tile. φ You sniffled, and let a tear slide down your face. φ “Angel.. Why are you upset? And what is with the outrageous make-up?” Jumin stepped closer to you as you covered your face with your hands. He wrapped his arms around you, and placed his hand on your head. φ “Oh Jumin, I just wanted to look nice for dinner tonight.. I am meeting your father! I thought it would be best to put some more effort into my make-up.. It did not work at all..!” You got choked up on your words, Jumin shushed you, petting your hair. He looked over to notice the video preview on your screen. φ “Love, you don’t need all this make-up just to impress my father. I love you for you, there’s no need to cover up. Let’s wipe your face.. but the red lip color looks beautiful on you..” He pulled back and smiled at you, giving you a kiss on your forehead. You agreed, in which Jumin left the bathroom and waited for you in the lounge. φ After washing up and reapplying the lip, you cleaned up the foundation mess and met Jumin outside of the bathroom. φ This dinner was going to go well no matter your looks. *Ahhh please let me know how I did, guys!
