hey so my post about my jacob/bella series has gotten a lot of attention over the past several weeks, so i wanted to make a new post with a direct link to the story!

if you haven’t read it yet, it’s a series rewrite wherein bella spent most of her life in forks but left due to a ✨ mysterious tragedy ✨ that changed her life. it is a three-part series, and the first installment is close to being finished.

Just to let yall know, I am still planning on finishing Eventide. It’s been dead for almost two years, and I’m not super happy with the current iteration. I will be making some edits and republishing it before the summer. I know how it will end, I just need to bust out some chapters 💪🫣 thanks for everyone’s support on this fic!

(I am also currently working on another one. It is not a JxB fic, but rather a secret, third ship that I can’t stop thinking about. Leave your guesses in my ask box. Hehehe …)

Still thinking about how weird it is that Alice's is gung-ho for future best friend and sister Bella who hates parties, fashion, shopping, makeovers -- all the things that Alice loves.

When she LITERALLY has ROSALIE who LOVES to be the center of attention and is probably more than happy for Alice to design clothes for her and show them off.

And like I get it; Bella is Cinderella and Alice is her fairy godmother. It would be too "selfish" and "frivolous" for Bella to 'want' to go to the ball or have nice clothes; but if it's all given to her and she insists she doesn't want/need it, then she can have her cake and eat it too. I get it. I do.

It just seems to me that if Alice wants to play Barbie with someone, ROSALIE would be more amenable to that. What is it about Bella that makes her better best friend material for Alice than Rosalie? Other than being the main character?

Not only that, but Bella is actively AGAINST playing Barbie. She does not want to participate. Unpopular opinion but Alice is not the best friend many fans think she is. She is just as controlling and manipulative as Edward from book one, except she never has a redemption arc or learns to respect Bella’s autonomy. The fact that she’s obsessed with giving Bella makeovers while Rosalie would’ve been a happy participant goes to prove my point: It was never about the makeovers; it was about controlling Bella and proving to herself that she knows best.

TLDR: Alice has problems.

Looks like the Twilight franchise is going to be making itself more money again and all I can say is: donate to the Quileute Move To Higher Ground project to protect this community against tsunamis.

No because Edward ruined the few human things Bella actually wanted and I am not okay with it. That truck that her dad bought as welcome home present, the same one Bella absolutely loved and one of the few things she could have taken with her as a vampire? Mysteriously broken right in time for Eddie boy to get her a brand new one. That love for reading and that advanced knowledge we saw in Book 1 biology class and that perfect report card we saw from her New Moon zombie state? Too bad, Edward apparently bribed some fancy pants school because of course Bella could never have gotten in by herself. That trip to visit Renee, one of the last times she will be able to see her mom before being turned into a vampire? Turns out it was just Edward manipulating her out of the state with zero intention of telling her what the hell was going on.

Honorable mention: Alice. Bella was repulsed by the idea of getting married but she finally caved and planned for her own little Las Vegas wedding with just her and Edward, something intimate where she can wear jeans and a hoodie. NOPE. Bff Alice is going to guilt you into having the wedding of the century and dress you up as the biggest barbie that ever barbied and invite the entire town of Forks and then some.
