Silver White Wings

I was tempted to 'retire' Ver to alt status and create the OG OC, Kymriana in FFXIV at last... but I got punched in the fking face by the limitations of the vanilla FFXIV Character Creator and the fact that they gave Helion Hrothgar's PINK fur instead of a decent RED fur option was such a massive insane turnoff that we're just going to stick to limited-pallet Ver instead. Uuuugh.

All said and done, Big Kitty Mommy Ver is a go and will be going into Dawntrail, it appears. And the PC is good to go as well. Yeeboiiiiii

My booping will remain low because I can't stand the idea of bothering people. LOL

But it's cute as fk to see all the posts about it.

Gearing up for Dawntrail I really hope they drop the benchmark soon. I know that mods are going to be HIDEOUSLY broken a-f for long while, esp with the graphics upgrades going in... so how I want to take my main into the next expansion is weighing on me. Take her in as vanilla Lizert? Not really keen on my end, I HATE the colour of vanilla scales and the horns attached to her face... not having her scales actually white and her horns turned to look less blocky is a massive turnoff. And her tail being too damn short. Go as she 'currently' is during this downtime: Viera. Less is changed for her mod-wise, except the addition of her tail. Not having that is jarring, but not TOO bad. Yeah, her eyes would bug me, but maybe the graphics update would make it palatable. Make her a QUEEN. Big Kitty Lady. But that all depends on how they end up looking, esp their head/faces. The trailer they showed was nice, but I'm anxious their faces will just be too... jarring in an attempt to make them 'pretty ladies' and not CAT PEOPLE.

I found Mom in the Rift and she's going to come babysit my furry arse because I am dying horribly in every big fight right now as a squishy squishy archer. (And I'm also just bad at DD combat.)

I'm going to enjoy playing DD2. I'm going to hope the backlash of what Capcom has been putting into their games for years now gets some traction. Do I think it'll work? Hah, no. But I can hope.

Publishers really do screw over the developers.

It's so bloody annoying, I wish there was a way to feking block them already.

With no real fix incoming that I can find, perhaps I should just restart my Mage's playthrough with a few tweaks... Instead of Wild Mage maybe pick Draconic Bloodline and Durge background. Romance Astarion like the original...

Might kick it around to see how it feels. Not that I lack other playthroughs to jump to if I wanted to, but having my bard and mage both f'ed up kind of still irks me. LOL

Another major patch... and still no fix to my hard-crash to desktop when trying to level up Shadowheart on 2 different characters at different levels.

No answers from the reddit thread on it, just other people having the same issue with various characters trying to level.

IS there a way to level a character up without having to go into the level-up screen? The MOMENT I tap the 'level up' button it just IMMEDIATELY closes/crashes. I'm so weary. I want to play my Wild Mage and my Bard.

Oh well, back to my Durge Life Cleric. -_-

Well, my hopes and dreams of Patch 1 fixing the leveling issue have been dashed. Still no fix and at this point, I need to not play my main until it is... Shadowheart is 2 levels behind everyone now and I just don't want to deal with it... which sucks because I'm at the final bit of Act 2 and not being able to feel secure going into big boss fights and final area exploring isn't going to work.

Guess it's time to play my Life Domain Dark Urge cleric and hope IT doesn't get it by this bug, too. -_-

Well. Okay so I've hit a known bug on TWO of my characters now.

When I attempt to level up Shadowheart(in both cases) the game just immediately hard crashes and closes. None of the suggestions on the reddit thread have proven helpful, either. At least I know this isn't a mod or something... One person got around it by using their Steam Deck to level the character. Useful, if I HAD one. I wish I knew wtf was going on.

Maybe I'll try to load BG3 onto my traveling gaming laptop and see if THAT will work.

Well FFS... my Wild Sorc's save got corrupted and crashes whenever I try to level up Shadowheart and ONLY Shadowheart. Fk.

Well, guess I'll pivot to another as my 'main' then. But she was midway into Act 2... bleh. Oh well.

Man... I created MORE characters to play through when it suits me. I'm sitting at the start of Act II and just keep wanting to go back and fiddle with other characters/classes for funsies. I LOVE THIS GAME/STORY but I keep being like 'but what IF...'

I even created a Dark Urge character, who I'm STILL going to end up being as nice as possible on. -_- I'm weak. But like, different classes lets me have different 'main party' people. I WANT to use the mod that gives me however many party members I want, but I see some pretty gnarly bugs with it still, so I am kind of iffy.
