Shout out to all your internet friends who are gone.

Those messenger screen names that haven’t logged on in ages, some before detailed profiles were a thing on those services.

Those emails that are long since abandoned, some with domains that no longer exist.

Those online friends you knew years ago and who then helped shaped you in some way, who you just can’t FIND anymore.

Those people who once were, and hopefully still exist IRL, that seem to have no known internet life anymore.

And those who have actually passed on, and their online lives are now a memorial to them.

I miss you all. I hope life is/was kind to you, and maybe one day, we’ll somehow connect again.

Professors AU where Sirius is the aloof, cool, quick tempered Potions Master, and Remus the mild mannered and nice DADA Professor who talks about his beloved husband all the time, but no one realises that he’s married to Sirius.

OR

Sirius Black, and his usual attitude disappearing whenever he mentions his husband, and no one knows it’s the werewolf Professor upstairs.

Tips for Reading with ADHD

(or without ADHD, if they help regardless)

Physical print:

  • cover the page with a piece of paper and reveal lines/paragraphs as you read them
  • use a highlighter to emphasize important/interesting parts
  • take notes as you go to be physically engaged with the material

Digital media:

  • copy and paste the text into a doc/word processor
  • change the font size/style/colour to something more legible
  • make your own paragraphs and spacing
  • copy and paste one paragraph at a time to isolate them from the distraction of the rest of the text
  • install a browser extension like BeeLine Reader or Mercury Reader
  • zoom in on the page and scroll slowly so you’re revealing lines as you read them
  • physically cover the screen and reveal lines as you read them
  • if you do better with physical media, print it out or find a physical copy

Both:

  • read out loud
  • pace, move around, or use a fidget while reading
  • set a timer for 5 minutes and read in small chunks with breaks in between
  • divide the material into sections and read one section at a time with breaks in between
  • have another person, audio book, or text-to-speech program read it aloud as you follow along

dorlene july event

there is little to no representation of wlw / nblw both the books and the fandom, and we should change that! that is why, this july, (and hopefully the other julies too!), @enbysiriusblack and i are hosting the dorlene july event!

you might be familiar with scar's dorlene event that took place this year's february (that one had been hosted my only sirius, and he has done an amazing job with it! <3), but this month, as i have been utterly in love with dorlene more than ever, we have decided to host it together!

we accept any kinds of art: writing, moodboards (pinterest moodboards too, but please post them over here at the mentioned hashtag), fanart, digital or traditional, cosplays, playlists (same situation with the moodboards: post them here, please!), you name it, it's allowed!

the tag for this event will be #dorlene july event, and all posts will be tagged as such, please!

we only have a few rules:

  1. no smut. neither i nor saber post smut at all, and the posts you will make for the event will be reblogged by either i, them, or both of us, so please keep the posts appropriate.
  2. only dorlene-centric! since we want this event to be about dorlene, we want posts whose focus is dorlene. even if the art has other ships / characters, the main has to be dorlene.
  3. you may post to other social medias! that means instagram, tiktok, ao3, but please tag them with the #dorlene july event tag so that saga and i can see the amazing things you will do this month!
  4. we also accept works about them as individuals, not just about their relationship! despite their relationship being underrated, so are the characters, and we need more rep!
