omg hello

it’s been almost a year since I’ve been regularly active here and a lot has happened in that time:

  • I spent a month living in an Irish village
  • got engaged (unrelated to the bullet point above)
  • graduated with my MFA in Creative Writing
  • I moved to Scotland
  • bought a home
  • and got married

many other things happened but those were the highlights. since life has been so hectic I’ve taken a much needed break from writing and learned the art of cross stitching. its been really nice to give my creative brain a little bit if a rest but the gears are starting to turn again. I’ve been mentally outlining a fantasy series that I hope to begin writing in the near future (as in at some point this year even if that means day 1 of writing is december 31st)

don’t know if this post means I’ll actually start being active on tumblr again but I wanted to give a life update in case any of my old friends are still lurking and I want you all to know that for once in my life I’m finally feeling happy and stable.

my mental stability has been a roller coaster for so many years, it feels surreal and calming to finally be able to say “I’m okay and you don’t need to worry about me anymore”

i've heard people say that tumblr is a free website but i don't think that's true. it doesn't cost money but you pay in other ways
