While I am happy that the Hague's ruling is leaning towards a condemnation of Israel, we can't relent in our efforts.

Not only because this is merely a preliminary ruling, but because the ICJ does not have executive power over the Israeli occupation. The IDF is free to violate their ruling at any time, at the cost of being deemed international criminals, which has never stopped them before.

Moreover, even if the Israeli government complied, the legal outcome alone is a return to the status quo. Gaza was under siege long before 2023, and the apartheid still stands.

I am not trying to discourage you: this is an unprecedented amount of support behind Pro-Palestinian advocacy, and we now have to decide if we'll use this opportunity to work towards the end of Israeli occupation of Palestine, or walk away from the issue now that the genocide is reeled back in.

So if you're tired, if you're drained, please, let this small victory embolden you and let's double our efforts.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

Actually still deceased about the tennis big 4 finally seeing themselves as an interconnected entity when they realised the end of their era is nearing. Federer saying he was happy to go first from the 4 as he was the oldest, Murray saying how right he felt that Federer got to close his career with Nadal after seeing them battle up close for so long, Nadal saying his generation of tennis is almost ending with only Novak and Andy still left, Djokovic and his age jokes about the new younger generation and not wanting to name any of the next gen as his rival when Rafa is still playing, them crying together for Roger in Laver Cup???

ICJP has now issued the Labour Leadership with a notice of intention to prosecute any UK politician for their complicity in war crimes in Gaza.
The announcement comes after Saturday's notice to @RishiSunak
of the UK government's complicity in Israeli war crimes.

Responses to the Al Ahli Hospital massacre

Putting this tweet first because I will not be dealing with anyone who tries to say Israel didn't bomb that hospital

At this point, the only thing preventing further escalation in the region is Joe Biden's visit to Israel which is why he is visiting in the first place, to buy Israel time. If Iran or Hezbollah declare war while he is in the country, it could be seen as a declaration of war against America as well. But trust that Israel will have to answer for this.

Finally, don't lose hope for a free Palestine

A country that is winning or dominating a war does not target hospitals in full sight of the world.

Battles like this are why Israel is targeting hospitals and fleeing women and children - a desperate and cruel act to project strength and to kill morale among Palestinians

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free

Andy Murray things:

  • almost a running commentary of the match, constantly shouting at himself in frustration (addressing himself as 'An-dyyy' or 'mate' :D)
  • twice a mini break down in the first set tiebreak, turning it around at 4-5
  • winning a service game to love with only second serves (against a pretty good returner) and with two gasp-inducing dropshots
  • going 0-40 down in a service game only to hunker down and turn it around without getting broken
  • his opponent having 3x as many break points than him but Andy saving all of them and converting one of his
  • double fault at 30-all when serving for the match to bring up a break point for his opponent

Then, during the interview: "my focus definitely improves when the match gets tighter"

yeah no shit, Andy

I have read this and heard this again and again always from men because... guess what? That's the only thing they found to say against her since she is playing infinitely better than all of them. Just so you know by hiding herself under her hat Iga is showing her personality, she is showing that she is an introvert, that she doesn't feel at ease when people look at her, she is showing that she is highly focused on her game, she is showing that the match is not only a game against her opponent but also a battle against herself. But what you want to see is not her personality but her emotions, which are two different things and I'm sorry Jimmy if you have such a bad eyesight because I can perfectly see her fierceness on her face during a match, I can see her genuine and childlike joy when she wins, i can see her distress when she is loosing, I can see her satisfaction on a good point, I can her frustration on a bad mistake, I can see her blush when she does something a bit clumsy... even if she is wearing her hat. Finally if you are interested in knowing more about her, you can follow her on her social medias, you can watch videos with her, you can go to a tournament and talk with her.

On a side note, I have heard someone say on a French television that no matter what Iga will achieve in tennis she will never be remembered in the history of the sport because she has, I'm quoting, "the charisma of an oyster". I'd be great if people could stop considering introverts as some sort of inferior humans, if they could stop considering that only extrovert are real athlete and deserve to be remembered and admired.
