Alright y'all, here's the dealio. I have a list of stuff to write and put out, so I'm getting that a moving. For my NYSM fans, I have those on the back burner. I will get to them, but I want to put out stuff from other fandoms first. I'm currently in the middle of writing random fanfic chapters for a story between and OC and Alec Lightwood. I will be posting a ton soon! My heart was broken and then stomped on and kicked into the dirt, so I'm writing as a coping method. Feel free to send in any kinds of requests. I love you all! -M

homophobes are not allowed to use computers because the inventor of the computer was gay

People think this is just a joke but Alan Turing was the inventor of the computer and his sexuality was illegal in his time (which was not even 100 years ago) and he was arrested. They put him on drugs that destroyed his genius brain and committed suicide a year after being covicted. He was gay and a war hero as well. He helped to break enigma which was a German code that they put all their messages through. He shorted WWII by two years and saved so many lives in the process.

There was a movie about it, starring Benedict Cumberbatch. The Imitation Game is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Shadow Drunkers

Imagine: Being Izzy's parabatai and celebrating a new year with her, Alec, Jace, and Clary. Warnings: typical. Occasional bad word. New Years Eve around the Institute was boring as anything. B-O-R-I-N-G. To the shadowhunters, it was just another day. There was no reason to celebrate the new year. It was just that. A new year. A new day. No cause for any kind of excitement or celebration. Being raised as a mundane, you were used to partying it up when the new year struck. And just because you battled demons and downworlders, that was not going to change. "Oh Isabelle!" You called, wandering through the halls of the institute to find your parabatai. Izzy was always down for some kind of party or anything remotely fun. Plus, she would have no problem with what you had in mind. "Yes Y/N?" She purred while emerging from a room off one of the main halls. "What do you say to a little New Years fun?" Izzy sighed and walked toward you. "You know that-" "I know." You interrupted. "You don't do New Years. But are we doing anything right now?" She shook her head no. "Is your brother doing anything right now?" Still more head shaking. "Are Jace and Clary doing anything?" One more shake of the head no. "Exactly! We can do something. And I have the best idea for a game we can play." You stood there with a devilish smile on your face. Izzy couldn't help but smile as well. The two of you fell into step beside each other as you went off to find Clary and the boys. Alec was on the phone with Magnus and agreed to join the two of you in your room when he was done. Clary and Jace were in Jace's room. She drew while he watched. They agreed to doing something else in a heartbeat. Anything beat sitting around. The four of you gathered in your room, and from there you looked around the room for your own special deck of cards. You and some friends had taken a deck of cards and written truths and dares on all of them. 25 truths. 25 dares. You were just sitting down in the half circle the other three made when Alec slipped into the room. "What in the world are we doing?" He asked, noting the weird circle happening in the middle of the floor. "Strip truth or dare." You could see an almost relieved look on Clary's face. A game she understood. You had been here longer than her, but still had been in the mundane world. Something that normal humans did instead of weird shadow hunter rituals or whatnot. "Basically you pick a card and do whatever it says. If you refuse, you take something off." "We're shadow hunters, not dead. We know how stripping games work." Alec told you with a 'really?' kind of look in his eye. You just shrugged. Oops. "I vote Jace goes first." Clary piped in as you shuffled and set the deck in the middle of the group. "I second that." Isabelle agreed. "Up to you Blondie." You smiled and motioned to the deck. Jace sighed and drew the top card. He read it to himself and nodded. "Go to the fridge and mix at least three liquids together. Shot glass size. Drink up!" Him and Alec shared a look before getting up to go do it. Alec was the reassurance that he actually went through with it. Clary drew her card while they were gone. Truth. Had she ever had feelings for her best friend. After chuckling a little she said no. Her and Simon were never like that. At least she wasn't with him. He couldn't speak for his feelings. Izzy took her card and read it as well. How many people had she slept with? Oh no way she was admitting to that. The boys came back just as she was pulling her bra off from under her dress. "Things I never want to see my sister doing." Alec mumbled. "Things I'm surprised I haven't seen my parabatai do yet." You mumbled while taking your card. Reading over it, you just shook your head. Out of all the cards to get, you had this one. "Yo, best friend." Alec scooted closer to you to read the card. 'Kiss the person to your left. No quick peck cop outs!' "I am so glad Magnus isn't here." He said, then looked up at you. Alec was your best friend. And he was gay. Neither of you really had a problem with it. It was kind of cool the relationship you had with him. Izzy was your parabatai. But her brother was your best friend. You pulled him closer and kissed him. Full. On his lips. Deep. Leaning into each other. Kiss. Once you pulled away from him and looked at the others, you did nothing but laugh. Even Alec cracked a smile and chuckled softly. The absolute look of disbelief and confusion on everyone's face was downright hilarious. Clary's face was contorted into an expression of confusion. Eyes wide, eye brows raised, jaw nearly through the ground. Jace was just blank though. Straight lips, glazed over eyes, nothing. Izzy........ Izzy was smirking and shaking her head. "You did not just do that." She said in a sense of disbelief. Not disbelief that you would kiss each other, but disbelief that you were so open and into it. "We did. Dare card." You flipped it in your fingers to show the other two. "I like having a gay best friend." Alec rolled his eyes and drew his card. "Hell no." He shook his head while reading. "No." He put it in the discard pile and yanked his leather jacket off. He slapped Jace's hand when he tried to pick the deck up to read what it was. "I said no." The game continued on like that, people admitting things, doing strange dares, and pulling clothes off. Jace was afraid of ducks. Clary could sing really well. Izzy was just enjoying the game. There wasn't much she wouldn't do, but when there was something she had no problem stripping. She really was confident in her body. By the time you were all done playing, all you had left on was a bra and underwear. Alec was in boxers and socks. Jace had his pants, but no socks. Clary was in her underwear and tank top that had been under her shirt. And Izzy was in her bra and had a blanket wrapped around the bottom half of her body. Alcohol had been found and you were all drunk. Your parabatai put her underwear and tights back on before curling up in your armchair with a blanket over her. Jace was passed out in your rug. Clary pulled a comforter and handful of blankets and pillows to the corner of the room and fell asleep in a little nest. And lastly, you and Alec ended up cuddling up in your bed under your favorite blanket. (The blanket you may or may not have drunk yelled at Jace for trying to take. Apparently, he didn't like being called a soggy llama, because Clary had to hold him for a minute to make him stop crying.) Magnus Bane walked into your room half past midnight to see where everyone had gone. He took note of the clothes all over the floor, the card with truths and dares on them scattered everywhere, the random sleeping positions, and the empty cups and bottle in the middle of the room. "I missed a good party." He said to himself. The warlock saw you and Alec curled up together and nodded in defeat. He knew that you two were close and weren't bothered by it. He was only upset that he had to make an appearance somewhere else and wasn't the one that got to cuddle drunk Alexander. "Who am I kidding?" He still said aloud, now making his way out of the room to go home. "The party doesn't start till I walk in."

The Devil's Girl

Fandom: Supernatural Request: Your father, Crowley, finding out you're dating Lucifer. (Requested by @graceless-dragon and imagine credit to @thefandomimagine ) Warning: Language but nothing super strong. ---------------------------- Everyone thought that being Crowley's daughter would be the greatest thing ever. Demons respected you. Angels didn't bother you. You were a princess and had powers and abilities most supernatural creatures envied. Truth was though, it sucked. You had an image to uphold. There was responsibilities that you didn't want. You were never left alone. There was always stories circling of hunters that wanted your head as an antenna topper. It was all enough to drive you to yoga. YOGA. Hell's finest was into yoga. Yoga and tea. What kind of demon did that? The kind that could really only be truly calmed and happy by one thing. Your other half. You're surprisingly rational partner. Your angel. Well, technically, fallen angel. Lucifer hunted you down when he was out of the cage to try and absolutely unhinge and destroy Crowley. But what started as him chasing after you to kill you turned into him chasing after you romantically. After who knows how long of pestering, you finally agreed to let him take you out. And as every sappy romance story says, the rest was history. Every single day, at 3am sharp, you'd go to visit him and talk about your day. Some days you vented angrily. Some days you would break down and cry. Some days you just sat and talked. It varied depending on what the demands of the day entailed. It was actually really cute when he got jealous and protective over you when you mentioned your day involved crossroad deals. Who would have ever thought that the Devil could be so........ adorable? Your father got suspicious one day. Where in the actual hell could yo one going every day at such a time?! He sent some of his best men to follow where you went and report back to him. And oh boy, when he found out, saying that he was angry was an understatement. After a unusually lengthy trip to see your boyfriend, you snuck back into your office to find your father sitting in your chair, feet propped up on the desk. "Hello Father." You greeted respectfully. "Hello Y/N." He said very flatly. That was unusual. Usually he at least had some kind of emotion to his voice. "Is everything okay?" You asked now, finding pictures hanging on the walls to straighten so you didn't have to look at him. "Everything is just fine, except for the fact that my daughter visits the devil every night." Crap. How did he know?!?! He had minions doing his dirty work and tailing you! They would be dead by your hands before sunrise. "He gets lonely. I go down to keep him company. Is there really a problem with that?" "Don't sass me." He firmly scolded. "And yes, it is! He's actually Satan. Being best friends with someone isn't exactly in his job description." "He's not my best friend." You snapped at him. He sort of was. You didn't have many friends. Lucifer was one of your best friends. But, in this scenario, you were getting all worked up and only had him labeled in your head as boyfriend. "Then what is it?!" Your father's voice was frustrated. "Is there some kind of deal? Is he blackmailing you into something? Are you trying to set him free?" "For hells sake, we're together!!!" You blurred out. His questions pushed you over the edge and you just couldn't take it. Your words echoed off the stone walls, surrounding you in a million "together"s whispered in your ears. Father was stunned into silence. You stood there, posture straightened, arms crossed over your chest, and your expression set hard. You were going to defend this until you were blue in the face. You loved both of them, and they'd have to accept co-existing in your life. Crowley was still standing there with nothing to say. He looked angry, yet shocked, and almost confused. Not that it was difficult to understand. It was simple. "You.......... You're....... How even did this come to be?" He asked, white knuckle gripping the chair. So you went on to explain everything of how you met to how you now visited every day. Father was surprisingly willing to listen and stayed quiet. After you explained it all, the two of you just watched each other. You stared, unblinking, at each other across the room. It was the king of hell who broke the silence. "I am going to rip his balls off and feed them to the hellhounds." He stood up and swiftly yet purposely made his way out of the room. You sighed and followed along. This couldn't be good. Upon arriving to where your devilishly handsome boyfriend was held, he stood up and examined the sight in front of him. "Well. It appears that he knows." Lucifer said, leaning to look past Crowley and at you. All you did was nod. "I do know, and I'm not impressed." Your father stated firmly. "Good thing I'm not here to impress you." Father shut his mouth and watched Lucifer carefully. "I'm here to make Y/N happy. Something you can't seem to do." Everything was silent for a moment after he said that. The air was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. You didn't know how either one of them was going to react. At any moment, yelling or threatening could start happening. Crowley was stiff. Lucifer was firmly standing his ground and had his arms crossed across his chest. Both had their eyes glued to the other. "Does he really make you happy Y/N?" Your father asked after a few minutes. "Yes Father." You answered in a soft voice. He took a deep breath, slowly let it out, then took a step back. "I will allow this then. For now. One slip up and I will find a way to make your life a living hell." "Already is. Quite literally I might add." Crowley rolled his eyes and left the room. You broke out into a grin as soon as he was gone. "I love you Luci. And even if he didn't allow us to be together, I'd still sneak around him to be with you." "I love you too Y/N. And I expect nothing less from the devil's girl."

Imagine: Finally meeting your (hardcore) crush, Steve Rogers

-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•- -I have never been the type to try and grab the spotlight. We were at a revel with some rebels on a hot night.-

Tony Stark was hosting a party after they defeated Loki in New York City. This big gala event with all of the Avengers, SHIELD agents, and wealthy benefactors that helped rebuild the city. People like that we’re in attendance. You had come with Maria Hill, since you were not only both SHIELD agents, but were sisters. Not many people knew you though. You kept to yourself for the most part. Interactions with people wasn’t exactly your forte. You were good with technical things. Not people things.

-Laughing at my sister as she’s dazzling the room. You walked in and my heart went boom.-

You couldn’t help but chuckle as you watched Maria move around the room and charm everyone she talked to. People who didn’t know her watched her with a sense of amazement. And the ones who did know her greeted her with big smiles. You shifted your gaze around the room and locked in on someone that had just entered.

Steve Rogers was a beautiful specimen. Honestly, your heart jumped every time you saw him. Not only was he extremely attractive, but he was beautiful on the inside too. The things he stood for and his beliefs for the world were nothing but pure. He only wanted the best for people. He wanted everyone to be free and safe. His heart was one made of genuine gold.

-Trying to catch your eye from the side of the ballroom. Everybody’s dancing and the band’s top volume.-

You wanted to see him. Possibly approach him and introduce yourself. You had to skirt around the edge of the room though. You weren’t about to weave your way through the people dancing in the middle of the room.

-Grind to the rhythm as we wine and dine. Grab my sister and whisper yo this one’s mine.-

You made it to the bar before finding Steve. A drink was in order. Someone came up behind you and ordered a pair of strawberry daiquiris. Maria!

“Thank you.” You smiled.

“No problem. Here, try this.” She handed you a mini caprese skewer. It was a piece of tomato, a mozzarella cheese ball, and a basil leaf on a toothpick. There was also a very light drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette on it. And holy mother of Alexander Hamilton it was good!

“Mmmmmm this is good.” You sighed happily. You were about to say something else, but Steve drifted into view. You reached out and grabbed her hand, watching him as he stopped and talked to someone. “Why is he so……. perfect?” You asked aloud. Softly, but aloud. Maria laughed. She knew all about your crush on him. Thankfully she hadn’t said anything yet. “I want to meet him so badly. But, I don’t at the same time.”

-My sister made her way across the room to you. And I got nervous, thinking what’s she gonna do?-

Maria just smiled and grabbed her drink. She started to walk away. But towards Steve. Oh no. What in the world was she doing? Oh, she was not…….

-She grabbed you by the arm, Im think I’m through.-

She put her arm through Steve’s and smiled at him. You were so dead. She was going to bring him over. You just knew it. Get yourself together, Y/N. it wasn’t a big deal.

-Then you look back at me and suddenly I’m helpless.-

Who were you kidding, this was Captain America. It was a very big deal!

-Oh look at those eyes.-

You could see the blue in his eyes looking back at you. Blue eyes were your weakness. Everything about this man seemed to be a weakness of yours.

You decided to turn your attention off the two of them and sip your drink at the bar. Make conversation with the bartender. Get your mind off whatever insanity Maria was pulling. But, she apparently had something else in mind. You could hear them approaching, but only because you could hear their voices.

“Where are you taking me?” Steve asked.

“I’m about to change your life.” Maria’s tone was light and joking. At least for now.

“Then by all means lead the way.” He sounded like he was smiling. You allowed yourself to sneak a glance.

He was smiling.

You knew that she was coming for you now, and you couldn’t come off as rude….. So you turned in your seat and waited for them. The smile was natural. He was just so…….. mmmmmhmmmmm!

“Y/N Hill.” You introduced once he got over to you. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Hill?” He asked, shaking your hand.

“My sister.” Maria proudly stated.

“Thank you for all your service.” You genuinely were thankful for all he did. Not only nowadays, but in his days as well.

“Well, I guess it took a war for us to meet, and it was worth it.” Your hand was still in his, but was meeting his lips this time. You nearly died on the inside. Outside was nice and composed. Inside was a wreck.

“Ill leave you to it.” Maria winked and walked off to let the two of you talk.

You bonded over drinks and stories. He told you about some of this crazy war stories and the stupid things he did to goof off on base with his buddies. You in turn told him about the antics you and your sister got up to as kids. He complimented your dress, and you his suit. He offered to drive you home since you wouldn’t be staying at Stark tower that night. There was only one way to describe how you were feeling when you got inside your apartment after the most magical night had ended.

Helpless.

Imagine: Tony talking to his daughter as she dies in his arms.

-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-

Tony Stark’s heart was breaking. You were laying in your hospital bed, still asleep from the emergency c-section. It had been a long and difficult process. The doctor hadn’t said much. Just that your beautiful baby girl, his first child, wasn’t going to make it. There was nothing they could do about it. Some complication or another, who knows what! All he knew was that he didn’t get to keep her. They let him hold his girl though. Hold her in her last moments of life. You wouldn’t be awake in time to see her. So he had to go through this all by himself.

“You know, I’m dedicating every day to you. Domestic life….. it was never quite my style.” Even in the pain, he could see a little smile on his baby’s face. This wasn’t fair. “When you smile you knock me out, I fall apart. And I though I was so smart.” He was a genius. A billionaire because of his mind. But when he saw a crack of a smile on her face……. well he just didn’t know what to do.

He began to tear up, but wouldn’t let them spill over. Be a man Stark. Be a man.

“You will come of age with our young nation.” Empty promises. “We’ll bleed and fight for you. We’ll make it right for you.” This was a promise he would stand by though. He would fight every single day in the name of his daughter. Fight and bleed and wear himself out if it meant a better world for his children to grow up in.

Okay, now tears were actually dropping from his eyes. A slow steady drip like a leaking faucet. He didn’t care who was in the room to see. This hurt and it wasn’t okay that he had to lose his first child.

“If we lay a strong enough foundation, we’ll pass it onto you we’ll give the world to you.” He was brainstorming now. Thinking of how himself and his team could build something strong from the ground up that would be a safe place to raise children. Whether it just be his, or if the others popped a couple out too.

They’re kids could be the next avengers. Be raised to be even better heroes than they were now. And once they retired, their kids would take over.

“You’ll blow us all away.” She could have done so much, this little bundle of joy of his. She could be so great and do so many things. Do things Tony himself never could have dreamed of doing.

Technology that would be available. A brain that worked differently than his did. A loving and supportive father that would teach her everything he knew. One badass little girl that would know her way around a lab, a car, and could put people in their place. There was so much potential in this one, tiny person……

“Someday. Someday.” He wrapped his daughter tighter in her blanket. She was hardly breathing now. Just barely. “You’ll blow us all away. Someday……..”

And just like that, she was gone. There was no rise and fall of her chest. No flaring of her nostrils. No small little pulse against his finger. Nothing. Tony couldn’t take it anymore. He sat there in the armchair and sobbed, still holding her sweet, precious, innocent little body in his arms. It broke his heart. This was supposed to be the greatest moment of his life. He was supposed to be posting pictures and showing her off to everyone. He was supposed to be loving her and reading to her and tucking her into bed. Not tucking her into a casket and into the ground…..

“Someday.” He whispered. A nurse came over and gently took his baby girl from his arms. The Avenger just folded over and cried. Gross and ugly sobbing. He was an Avenger. There was no one to blame for this, but right at the moment, he swore on his life that he would avenge his girl’s death.

He would find a way to make the world right went everything felt so wrong.

Heroes For Ham (Hawkeye)

Fandom: Avengers/Hamilton Imagine: The night before you and Clint' wedding. -•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•- You were getting married. Married to none other than Clint Barton. You had been taken hostage by a pair of robbers, and he had been the one to sweep in and save you. You had fallen for him after that, and had luckily gotten in contact with him. From then on, you had secret rendezvous, late night dates, and a few times you snuck into the tower with Natasha and JARVIS's help. But now you were getting married. He told everyone about you finally, and proposed that same night. Which, you of course said yes. It had been 8 incredible months and you couldn't be more in love. Tomorrow was the wedding. But for now, you were off partying with Natasha, Wanda, and Maria. A last fling before the ring. You were all..... well drunk. Maria and Nat knew about a secret house that SHIELD used for meetings and overnight shelter. It was a safe house in the middle of no where. So it was perfect for use tonight. "I may not live to see our glory!" You cheered, standing on top of the island in the kitchen. Oh yeah. You were drunk. "I may not live to see our glory!" The other three called back. "But I will gladly join the fight!" There was Hawkeye t-shirt that just about every major department store around sold, and of course you owned one and were now wearing it. "But I will gladly join the fight!" "And when our children tell our stories." "And when our children tell our stories." "They'll tell the story of tonight!" "Let's have another round tonight!" Maria called out, grabbing the bottle of whiskey that you were all drinking down. "Let's have another round tonight." Natasha agreed, holding out her empty glass. "Let's have another round tonight." You mocked. "Raise a glass to freedom!" Wanda was sitting on the edge of the counter, swaying back and forth slightly, but intentionally. Her blue t-shirt with a picture of cap's shield was a too big for her, and she had ignored the idea of pants. "Raise a glass to freedom." She was talking with her hands like she was preaching some great speech. "Something they can never take away, no matter what they tell you." Amen to that! Natasha had a black shirt with her black widow logo on it, and Maria had a t-shirt with an arch reactor on it. The four of you all began chanting and singing different things, like an uncoordinated harmony. It was a big mess but you ladies were loving every second of it. The night progressed with more off key singing, dancing, drinking, snacking, and laughing. The four of you collapsed into a pile of blankets and pillows in the living room. You were entirely too tired to even care about going upstairs to bed. The next morning when you woke up, Wanda was making breakfast. Maria was fresh out of the shower, still wrapped in a towel as she looked for clean clothes to wear. And Natasha was spreading bobby pins out, setting out a couple cans of hair spray, and plugging in a curling iron. Today was the day. You were getting married.

Imagine: Finding out about an affair Thor had .

-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•- -I saved every letter you wrote to me.-

You sat on the floor of your room, a wooden box with an intricate carving sitting in your lap. In the box was letter after letter, written in impeccable handwriting. You and Thor had a long distance relationship. Long distance meaning he spent many a day in Asgard, while you stayed on Midgard. You wrote back and forth to each other as a form of communication, and every single love letter you had relieved from him was kept in that box.

-From the moment I read them I knew you were mine, you said you were mine, I thought you were mine.-

One of your biggest worries was that he would find someone else. Someone better. You were far from royalty, and Asgard was full of beautiful women more fit to be his queen. He loved you though. Never failed to tell you that. At least in his words he told you that. It was reading between the lines that made you think otherwise.

-You and your words flooded my senses. Your sentences left me defenseless. You built me palaces out of paragraphs. You built cathedrals.-

Oh the things he had promised you. To be a loving husband someday. To hopefully be the best father he could be when you had kids. To make you queen, and ensure you never spent a day feeling lonely. All that you’d ever need would be handed to you. But he also continuously told you how much he loved you.

He wrote how you’re soul spoke to his, and woke it up. And ever since your soul woke his, it hadn’t slept since. He wrote how you were his today and all of his tomorrows. He wrote how no matter what realm, reality, or lifetime you were in, he would find you.

I’m re-reading the letters you wrote to me. I’m searching and scanning for answers in every line for some kind of sign of when you were mine.

Had it ever been true? Had he ever truly loved you? Or was it all lies from the beginning? You didn’t even know anymore. Didn’t know what to believe and what not to believe.

-The world seemed to burn.-

You’re entire world had come crashing down around you. He was your everything. Your happiness. Your safety. Your sanity. Your world. And he destroyed it all.

-You published the letters she wrote to you. You told the whole world how you brought this girl into our bed. In clearing your name you have ruined our lives.-

Thor had gone in front of all of his people and confessed to having an affair. He had written out an official apology and told everyone of the things he and his mistress did.

People thought that he was paying off other high officials in his kingdom to eliminate certain people that threatened his crown. They all thought he was doing his work through one of their daughters. In order to put the speculation to rest, he had to admit to what he had been truly doing. He was an honorable man, but apparently his father wanted a grandchild before he passed away and was not willing to wait the nine month gestation period it would take for a human baby. And that was if you got pregnant in the first try.

Odin also didn’t want a part mortal baby. He wanted a full Asgardian grandchild to someday take the throne. Thor’s plan was just to convince you his child was adopted. He was too ashamed to admit to agreeing to his father’s wishes.

-You and your words obsessed with your legacy.-

Why did having a full blood heir matter so much? His brother, who was also technically in line for the throne, was a frost giant for crying out loud! Why did a half human make a difference?

-Your sentences border on senseless.-

His last letter to you was line after line of nonsense. Half of it was just muddled words of apology. His handwriting was a little sloppy. His hand had been shaking. He tried to explain and insist that it wasn’t as bad as it seemed. But he couldn’t convince you.

-You are paranoid in every paragraph how they perceive you.-

The thing he was really worried about though was how the people would see him now. He would give up the throne if he had to. But that would leave Loki to rule, and he didn’t want that. He loved his brother, but he didn’t trust him with that kind of power. Not at all. And he had dreamed of being a man of the people since he was young enough to understand what that meant. But this ruined him. And he didn’t know what to do.

You knew what to do though. You took the box full of letters outside to a metal garbage can. There was a container of gas in your trunk. You dumped some of it in, lit a match you grabbed from the kitchen on your way out, then tossed it in.

You took yourself out of the narrative. You no longer wanted anything to do with him. An affair was an affair, political or not. He cheated. And now he was burning for his actions.

Secrets and Lies 2

Fandom: Now You See Me Request: Secrets and Lies Part 2 —•—•—•—•—•— A week passed and you were already comfortable as could be around the Horsemen. Things were still rough with Jack, obviously, but you hardly even saw him anyways. You and Beth went back and forth between your apartment and theirs. A collection of clothes sat in Atlas's room, toothbrushes found their way to the bathroom, and you both had the boys wrapped around your fingers. Just because you could ask them for anything in the world and they'd find a way to make it happen, didn't mean that you didn't go out of your way for them. Keeping them out of the public eye and just in THE Eye was the most important thing. So whenever grocery shopping had to happen, or they wanted to get out for a bit, you were the one to drive them around, go shopping, and all that fun stuff. In this particular case, you had left Beth with the boys, and had gone out for popcorn and a movie rental. Merritt was great and all, but he packed away popcorn like every piece brought a strand of hair back to his head.......... –––––––––––––––––– Daniel's POV "Alright super spy A.B." Daniel whispered as he took a glance over the back of the couch from his place on the floor in front of it, then looked at his parter. "Do you see our hostage?" "Mhmm." She hummed while nodding, sitting on her knees on the couch, but crouched down so she couldn't be seen. "On my count, go for him. Three, two, one." Beth got down and tiptoed behind a table then ran towards Jack. He was looking for something inside of the fridge. Just when Daniel though she was going to run smack into him, Jack scooped her up in his arms. A huge smile was plastered on his face as he blew on her stomach and made her laugh. "Jackie stoooooooop!" She cried while giggling and squirming in his arms. She had taken to calling him Jackie for some unknown reason. Jackie, M&M, Dylan, J, and Momma. Jack eased up a bit and hugged her. "I'm sorry sweetheart. Are you okay?" "Yes!" She cheered, throwing her hands in the hair. They landed in Jack's big mop of unkept brown fluff that topped his head. "Wait." She dramatically said, clapping both her hands's to Jack's cheeks. Her forehead hit his and her eyes locked in on his. "You hair and my hair and eyes!" The card master nodded happily, but looked over at Daniel with a confused look in his eye. "She's saying your hair is like hers and your eyes are the same." Atlas laughed. She was very observant for as young as she was. "Here, can I have her back? Y/N should be home any minute now." "Something wrong with her coming home to me playing with her?" "Um....... no?" Atlas answered, a little stunned by the sudden defensiveness. It only made him more uneasy for Jack to have her. Just as he took A.B. from his friend, you walked into the apartment. Atlas sat his little girl so she was straddling his shoulder and could hold his head. He took the bags from your hands and set them down on the table. Soon. Soon this would be their life. Not in the apartment with the others. No way. But possibly in your apartment you had now. Or once you agreed to his proposal, which you hopefully would, you could get a new place together. There was still money from shows left. Somewhere nice, where he could raise a family..... –––––––––––––––––– Your POV Seeing Beth and Atlas made your heart jump leaps and bounds. It really was his most attractive, and the most important, quality in him. If he hadn't been good to Annabeth, if she didn't take to him, or if he ever did one thing that could harm her, he'd be out. Beth came first. But he was all you could have asked for, and more. You joined the two of them and Jack in the kitchen to help put things away. Man, talk about awkward. While sliding soda into the space in the fridge, you decided to make conversation so it wasn't so weird..... "What did you guys do while I was gone?" "Well," Atlas started, "we had peanut butter and pretzels as a snack, and we drew a picture for Dylan for his desk at work, and then we played super spies." "Jackie down!" Beth exclaimed. "You took Jack down?" You asked her just as excitedly. She nodded and smiled. "Good job baby! How does he feel about that?" "I don't mind at all." He shook his head. "She's adorable. We also noticed that she kind of looks like me. Weird, huh?" He stared at you with an expression that said it all. He knew Beth was his. Well great. "Yeah it is kind of strange. Oh well, it is what it is." "I think she's beautiful no matter what!" Atlas complimented. Beth smiled and pressed her face into his hair. "Love you Dad." She said in her sweet little voice. You saw Jack open his mouth to respond, but closed it. Atlas pulled her off his shoulder and hugged her tightly. "I love you too A.B. So very much." You couldn't help but smile. The two of them were adorable together. And the fact that she called him Dad was a good step forward. She really did love Atlas. And that was a good thing! A very good thing. Your heart broke a little bit though when you saw the look on Jack's face. He was devastated. He was skating on such thin ice, calling out that he knew about Beth being his. But you couldn't help but feel bad that his daughter just called someone else Dad. He excused himself and left the kitchen. He looked....... well he looked like his entire world just came to a screeching halt. Which probably wasn't far from the truth. Later that night, Merritt was sitting with Beth in his lap, watching The Little Mermaid. She loved the princesses out of all the Disney movies. Dylan was on his way over. And Jack was off somewhere doing something. You were sitting in the kitchen while Atlas cleaned it up a bit from dinner. He kept glancing up at you for some reason. You were thinking about what had happened with Jack earlier. Daniel really did need to know. But, what if it turned him against you? Made him quit the team? Convinced him to go into hiding like Jack had? How would Beth react? She loved Atlas just as much as you did. She would never understand. And if he left, Jack might try and come back. And then you'd be stuck wanting nothing to do with him, but wanting him around for his daughter...... "Y/N." Atlas said softly, coming to stand in front of you. "What's wrong? And don't say nothing is wrong. I know you better than that. Whatever it is, you know that you can tell me anything, right? No matter what it is." "No matter what?" "No matter what." You sighed and took his hand. The two of you went down to the room you were sharing. He shut the door and watched as you nervously paced around a bit. Your fingers played with the bottom of your shirt. He wasn't going to like this. Not one bit. You hadn't seen or heard him approach, but next thing you knew, his hands were in yours and he had his forehead pressed to yours. He was too good to you. He didn't deserve this. After a moment, you sat down on the edge of the bed. Atlas sat next to you. You stared at your feet. He stared at you. This continued for a couple minutes. Well, it was now or never. "So, you know how Annabeth's dad has never been in the picture?" Atlas nodded. "That's because I thought he died. He supposedly died a few years ago, but apparently didn't." "So, like Jack?" You looked him in the eyes and nodded very slowly. "Wait a second...... Jack fake died a few years ago. A.B. looks a lot like him. He got really defensive earlier when I wanted to take her back." He moved over a little to look fully at you. "Is Jack Annabeth's father?" "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I really thought he was dead and I didn't want to bring it up, plus I didn't know he knew. I don't know when he figured it out. He didn't even know I was pregnant when he died." "What? Tell me the whole story." There was an edge in his voice. Oh no. You still explained it though. How you had found out about Jack and that you were having his child all in the same day. You raised Beth alone until you met Atlas. There was no need to bring it up that she belonged to Jack because he was gone and it might make things weird between you. But, now that you knew he was alive, things had just been awkward and there hadn't been a good time to break the news. You were still trying to understand it yourself. "Please don't be upset Atlas." You said softly, your voice cracking on his name. Tears threatened to spill from your eyes. You couldn't lose him. But Daniel Atlas said nothing. Just stood up and started to walk from the room. You followed, wanting to plead to him, but you were struck silent when Jack came around the corner and Atlas punched him in the nose. And with that, he walked out of the apartment. "I take it he knows?" Jack asked, a hand over his nose. You sighed and started to push him towards the bathroom. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Beth staring at the door. Merritt pulled her back into his lap and tickled her to get her attention off it. It was nice to have extra hands around. You couldn't help fix Jack's nose and worry about Beth at the same time. Jack sat on the lid of the toilet, still holding his nose. You could see blood dripping out from under his hand. Very gently, you pulled his hand from his face. Oh yeah. It was broken. "I'm really sorry about this Jack. Pinch right here." You showed him where to hold his nose to stop the bleeding, then gently pushed his head back to help stop it. "It's okay. Actually, it's not." The warm water was turned on, and a washcloth was run under. You gently wiped the blood off his face as he talked. "It's not fair that Annabeth doesn't know about her father. And it's not fair that I don't get to spend time with her. And keeping Atlas in the dark about me was a stupid move." "Hey!" "I'm just saying! I think once he comes back, and he will, the three of us sit down and talk. Then we can figure out what to do about Beth. It hurts that she called him Dad. Especially since I've been falling in love with her since you two have been here." "You can't blame me for all that. I had no idea you were alive. If you weren't around to take care of her, why even bring it up?" Jack was silent for a moment. "I guess you're right. I shouldn't have listened to what Dylan said. He's the one who told me I couldn't say anything. I'm sorry Y/N. All I really want is to be in her life. She's........ she's gorgeous. Inside and out. Just like her mom." You took that as a good time to go get him ice for his nose. You didn't want to be a part of where that sounded like it was going. You journeyed to the kitchen, but were stopped by a little hand on your leg. Sweet little Beth. She reached up for you to pick her up, and of course you did. "J?" She asked, holding her hands up and shrugging her shoulders. "J will be back." You promised her. "Go stay with M&M." You kissed her on the cheek, and she wrapped her arms around your neck to hugs you. You hugged back and set her down. Beth's little legs ran back to the couch, where Merritt picked her up and held her all snuggled up in his lap. You sighed and went back to Jack, giving him the frozen corn to go on his nose. It was going to be a long night....... About 4 1/2 hours later, when it was nearing 11pm, the front door opened. Beth was asleep on the floor in a pile of blankets and pillows. Merritt was at the table reading. Jack was in an armchair in the living room, Dylan was off in his room, and you were laying across the living room couch. David Blaine Street Magic, and you had been chuckling at how some of his tricks you could see right through. "Blaine? Really?" Atlas asked as he came inside. You sat up, but didn't get up. How was he feeling? Had he calmed down by now? He took a deep breath and sat across the coffee table from you. You moved off the couch to sit on the floor and be level with him. "Momma?" Beth said softly, stirring a little in her sleep. She yawned and opened her eyes. The door must have woken her up. She was a relatively light sleeper. Instead of sitting with you though, she plopped herself down in Atlas's lap. You're eyes darted from him to Jack, but neither of their expressions changed. "I have to say a few things." Your boyfriend started. "First, I'm sorry Jack. That was uncalled for and I really am sorry." "I've had worse." He brushed it off, smiling just slightly. "Second, A.B. I love you. I'm sorry if I scared you." "Love you J. Okay." She sleepily replied. "And third. Y/N........" He pulled a deck of cards from his pocket and slipped them from the box. "I was out of line." He shuffled the deck and split it in half. "I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. Pick a card." You, very confused, picked a card from the first half of the deck and looked at it. King of diamonds. "Memorize your card and give it back." You did as told and he slid the card in the deck. "I guess it was just that I've been so used to being there for her, the idea of my younger partner being hers blew me away for a second. Do the same thing with this half." You picked a card from the second half of the deck, memorized it, and gave it back so he could slide it in the deck. Queen of spades. "Out of everyone, it was Jack. Anyone in the world, and it was Jack. My shock took over my emotions and I was wrong. Tap both decks." You tapped them both. "Your card jumped to the top. Let's check." He flipped the top cards over and sure enough, there was your cards. "Is it right?" You nodded. He took them and put them in the middle of their respective piles, but left it so about a third of the cards were still visible. "I should have been an adult and just stayed to talk to you. The truth is I love you. I really do. And I want you and me to work. You're the most important person in my life. You and A.B. And I want to love you for a very long time." Wait what? "While we talked, you're cards switched decks. Want to check?" You slowly nodded and pulled both cards out, then flipped them over so you could see what cards they were. One had "Y/N, will you" and on the other "marry me?" was written. You looked up at Atlas, tears hitting your eyes. Was this real? Like really for real??? "I know I'm not the easiest person to deal with. And my temper gets the better of me sometimes. But, I love you so much. And I'm willing to work on it, if it means you'll be mine. I'm sorry I can't be on one knee, but I really do mean this. I can go onstage and dazzle a million people with a few fancy words. But, the only one I'm trying to dazzle with my words right now is you." Dylan handed him a small box, which he opened for you. There sat an absolutely beautiful black diamond Halo engagement ring. "Will you please, be my queen every day, take my breath away every day, make me a better man every day, and make me a father every day? Will you please marry me?" You very enthusiastically nodded. A grin bigger than you ever thought possible sat on your face. Atlas smiled just as widely and slipped the ring onto your finger. You sat up on your knees and leaned over the table to kiss him. For the love of everything, he never failed to amaze you. Your fiancé always found a way to one up himself. And this was the icing on the cake. Icing on the..... wedding cake.
