Salves are my favorite to use in the fall and winter. Theyā€™re light enough that they wonā€™t clog your pores (if you use the right combination of oils), yet moisturizing enough that your skin wonā€™t be dry and brittle through out the cold season.

For both salves youā€™ll need a 1-Ā½ oz jar, a measuring cup, a spoon for mixing, and a medium saucepan

Rosehip Seed Oil + Avocado Oil Salve (Top)

Great for normal,Ā sensitive, oily, and dry skin

2 tbsp Rosehip Seed Oil (Rich in fatty acids, Vitamin C & A, great for regenerating skin cells)

2 tsp Avocado Oil (Beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids, and Vitamins A, D, and E help moisturize and protect skin from UV rays)

1 tsp Cocoa Butter (Help repair damaged skin)

1 tsp Beeswax (Natural humectant, meaning it will attract water molecules to keep skin hydrated)

1 tsp Vitamin E Oil (Extend salves shelf life)

5 Drops Frankincense Essential OilĀ

5 Drops Jasmine Essential Oil

5 Drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Instructions

1. FillĀ the saucepan with no more than 5 cups of water

2. Place the measuring cup inside the saucepan and set to medium-low heat.

3. Add the Rosehip Seed Oil, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Butter, and Beeswax into the saucepan. Stir until beeswax and butter areĀ completely melted.

4. RemoveĀ measuring cup from the pan, let it cool, but not for too long,Ā you donā€™t want the mixture to harden and add Vitamin E Oil and Essential Oils to mixture.Ā

5. Stir quickly and transfer the liquid into the 1 oz. Jar.Ā

6. Store in refrigerator to help mixture cool quickly.Ā

Tamanu Oil + Jojoba Oil Salve (Bottom)

Perfect for healing acne scars, eczema, sensitive skin and, dry skin

2 tbsp Tamanu Oil (Beautiful Deep Green Color, Fatty acids, Promotes the formation of new skin tissue, natural SPF of 18-22)Ā

2 tsp Jojoba Oil (Balance skins natural sebum, long-lasting moisture, has Vitamins E and B, and minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc)

2 tsp BeeswaxĀ (Natural humectant, meaning it will attract water molecules to keep skin hydrated)

1 tsp Vitamin E OilĀ (Extend salves shelf life)

5 Drops Sage Essential Oil

5 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

5 Drops Lavender Essential Oil

5Ā Drops Carrot Seed Essential Oil

1. Fill the saucepan with no more than 5 cups of water

2. Place the measuring cup inside the saucepan and set to medium-low heat.

3. Add the Tamanu Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Beeswax into the saucepan. Stir until beeswax is completely melted.
