Heading towards the end of summer with Autumn on the horizon, I always feel my archery senses begin to tingle. Firstly I’m really sorry that my first post in ages isn’t about Archery… But turning 40 during lockdown, meant that my midlife crisis hit hard! 😅 Partly trying to recapture my youth and partly an effort to try and get in shape, I needed something as well as Archery to occupy my mind. So I decided to get back into baseball, I played a little when I was a kid and in my 20s, it’s always been a game that fascinated me, The pace and the strategy as well as been able to hit things with a bat! (i’ve also used the throwing a baseball analogy many times to try and explain instinctive archery many times) I’m proud to say That I have managed to blag myself onto the @brum_baseball (Birmingham Metalhead’s) roster, as a second baseman. Although I’m little more then an alternate/bench warmer at the moment. i’m having an absolute blast, and I’d forgotten how much I enjoy being part of a team again! Sooo... I’ve been working on a little something! Over the past few months, I’ve had to make some quite big but exciting decisions! Sitting in a dark workshop making strings, not shooting and not making films, is kinda dull and not sustainable, especially in the current climate, not to mention from a mental health point of view. So over the next few months will be transitioning into working part time at @grizzly.strings and part time back at @merlin_archery making regular video content again!!! But unlike last time I’ll be keeping my Archery Adventures channel up and running! Though I’ll be keeping it mostly to films of my adventures with my buddies and more personal archery stuff, and moving the more technical stuff, tutorials and reviews over to the Merlin Channel.
