times were as stresseful as always and all zendaya could think about was how this dinner was necessary. due to shooting euphoria e promo for space jam, she barely had time to celebrate their one year anniversary, and it sting her heart, but she knew they would have many other years to do so. but this dinner, this one she wanted to share with all their friends. that itself was a task - to get all of them in the same place, for at least an hour and celebrate. but they managed and they were about to share the news she had been dying to share.

when noah called for attention, she reached her glass of water, sure that a toast would be in order after the announcement. but then he looked at her eyes in a way that made her cheeks go pink and suddenly all the wanted was for this people to be gone and give her fiancé a movie worthy kiss. his speech started and she found weird that he talking to her too much and not to crowd, to let everyone know what they had to share. word by word, he made her melt, as their story played in her head. she expected him to stop after saying she asked him to marry him, but noah kept going and z’s face was just a big puzzle now. he brought up the night for the engagement, not her proudest moment, but yet, their story. and then the set up. when her fiancé got down on one knee, she covered her mouth, looking like every girl that had ever been proposed to ever. fanning herself and he kept talking, she wasn’t sure if this was actually happening if it was just her mind playing tricks, but she liked it anyway. “OH MY GOD THE RING”, she said before anything, finding it the prettiest thing ever. the dark stone stole her heart and she just wanted to put it on. “yes, yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes”, she said, going for a kiss on his forehead, feeling a burst of easy joy in her chest. diving for a not so quick peck on his lips, she felt like the world could end right there and things would be okay. “you’re insane noah”, she said, still breathless.

charle’s face twisted when noah sounded and looked so happy when this was, actually, a tragic night. he just nodded and followed him outside, being sure to have the door closed behing them. even so, he walked away the damn glass door zendaya had in her back yard. “the fuck just happened back then?”, charles was straight to it, sure that he was on ticking clock to save his friedn .”is this a fucking stunt? are you pranking us all, is that what this is all about?”, he had his hands in his pockets.

The moment Charles opened his mouth Noah’s heart instantly sank, his brows furrowed more then ever before, mouth ajar incredulous at his best friend’s words. “A fucking stunt?” He repeated, disbelief clear in his voice. “Are you for real Charles?!” he made himself ask. “Can’t you for once put whatever it is you have against the woman that I love and be happy for me?” Noah gestured as he spoke, feeling himself growing upset by the second. “No this is no fucking stunt, what are you even on about?!” 

“finally”, Charles saw Noah show up at zendaya’s kitchen and shouted at him, as if they were in some sort of crowded party and not in a dinner at someone’s house, where everyone could hear them. this whole night was ludicrous on Charles’ mind, the fact that he was at z’s house alone baffling him, but when he learned why, it all took a turn to the worst. and he had to do something about it. so he stopped noah from going whenever he was heading to, standing on his way. “we have to talk. right now”, charles said, looking at his eyes, showing it was urgent. @ncahcentinechq

“Oh hey” Noah smiled as he walked into the kitchen with an empty tray in his hands, and found Charles already there. Noah placed the tray in the washing machine, and was about to ask Charles how he was enjoying dinner when his friend demanded his attention. “Okay...” Noah let a frown took over his face, noticing the serious expression on the Asian’s face. “Let’s head outside?” He suggested pointing at the back door, as it seemed like it was something Chalres wanted to talk in private. 

right now, it felt like she could go for hours, just aiming at one hand after the other. it was still only the first minutes, but she was feeling it at this point. when noah gave his whoahs in a row tho, the whole back that this was her fiancé clicked back and now all she could see was a drop of sweat rolling from his neck throgh his abs. “no one in particular, really”, she shrugged as she tried to hold it together. she didn’t want any negativity into this moment. as she breathed in and out she felt like her body wouldn’t be able to much more, contrary to what she believed a few seconds ago. deciding to use this as excuse, she let it out: ‘ouch ouch!”, with her hand on her thigh, she fell on her but back in the chair she was before, glad that marvel gave everyone how to fall classes. “my thighs… it hurts.. i think i pulled a muscle”, she pouted, not even trying not to do a soultry voice, clearning pulling a stunt her. “i think you will have to massage me”, she said, batting her eyelashes at him.

whatever was the reason he was bitting his lip, it was made it worst for her. at this point she was starting to get embarrassed by this whole thing. she had seen noah naked several times and she knew what he was capable off, so this should be old news to her. behaving like this was childish, she had to get it together. “someone i really really wanna punch”, stopping herself a bit, a situation came in mind. once she overheard someone talking about her and noah when they thought she wasn’t in the room anymore. from gold digger to more, the scenario fuelled her with rage, which she chanelled into the punches. starting with more precision, they escalated to more and more aggressive, fast enough to get noah’s attention. over time sweat began to form on her forehead, rolling down to her squinting eyes and maybe that was an indication that she was taking this too seriously. 

Noah was probably having a little too much fun with this, and he was happy to see Z going with it, and overall looking like she was having a good time, from how much she has been working lately, god knew she needed the little break to unwind, hence where boxing enters. At the black woman’s reaction to his suggestion as a way to put in a bit more strenght into the punches, Noah couldn’t help the laughter, as he was forced to back down a couple of steps, as he took each punch she was throwing at him. “Whoah Whoah Whoah” He chuckled, full Peter Kavinsky manner. “There you go, going all Rocky on me” He cheered, “Do I even wanna know who you were projecting right there?” He tilted his head at her, with curiosity, and perhaps rather impressed with his girlfriend, and how hard she went at it.  

maybe that had been a hasty request, because as soon as noah pulled on his shirt, zendaya didn’t get to concentrate anymore. she was used to the sight of her fiancé’s body, of course, but something about how the light of the sun reflected on his skin, or about how he looked happy about this moment together, somehow that made him hotter. swallowing saliva, she struggled to focus. “right, left, right”, the thing black woman repeated, punching on his hands with close to zero streght. shaking her head not to stare at his abs, she did it again and again, trying to move her feet along. “am i doing it right?”, she asked, already slightly panting, no physical preparation for it, as she tried to avoid his eyes so he wouldn’t catch her staring from time to time.

With the two of them almost reaching the one year mark, engaged to be married someday, Noah couldn’t help the wide smile as he noticed Z’s reaction as he took off his shirt, and as he waited for her to gather herself and throw in the punches, his eyes were no better as he trailed her body from head to toe for a moment, slightly biting on his bottom lip for a moment. “Right, Left, Right” He repeated, as she did as he explained, but applied little to no strength. “Yes, you’re doing it right! Maybe a little more power into the punch? Like pretend I’m someone you really, really, wanna punch?!” Noah encouraged, placing a quick kiss over Z’s lips, before getting back into position, “One more?” 

amused by him taking her hands and talking about the right way to put the gloves, z let a smile creep in, just getting a bit lost in how cute he looked, all excited that she was about to do something with him. looking down to her now covered hands, she just kissed him back as she could, making a note to go fishing for more during the practice.“oh, right”, for a second she let her student brain surface, wanting to nail the positions he was just explaining. but again, her secret agenda was stronger than that. “won’t you like - hm”, she shrugged. “take off your shirt? it’s hot and you gonna get all sweaty”, trying to sound like a saint, zendaya made an uncompromising face.

The smirk instantly made an appearance on Noah’s features, slightly shaking his head in amusement. “Oh right... it is kinda hot today... yeah” He played along, reaching with his hands to his back and taking his shirt with ease, letting it fall over the chair Z was once laying in the sun, prior to him come and bug her into boxing. “Now, let’s see what you’ve you got, punch my hands, right, left, right. Easy” He went along with the boxing class, his mind already plotting on grabbing Z over his shoulder and jump into the pool, but all in its right timing. Placing himself across from her, he raised both his hands up, waiting for her to take her punches. 

“Congrats man! I’m honored to be invited. I’ll definitely make it work with my schedule so I can be there to celebrate the big night with you two.“ Justin nodded eagerly for a moment before gathering his cool a little. There was still a small sense of shock that the two considered him a close friend at this point.
