Hey, I'm Jack. I'm a gamer, a role player, a cosplayer, a friend. I've been through a lot. And I don't judge.

I love action movies and I especially love those that develop characterizations through the action (see Nicky and Joe checking on each other and protecting each other after every death).

After Nile saves them from the lab and they set out Nile leads the way taking the position that is usually Andy’s and the rest follow to keep Andy safe. The problem for anybody who has been fighting in a specific formation for long enough is trained habits. In the very next room, Andy pushes past Booker and Nile to retake her usually position at the front of the team.

In the hallway, the other three men shift back into their usual formation of fighting and Andy is left exposed.

Nile recognizes the problem and puts herself in the way saving Andy.

In the immediate aftermath, Nicky sees what happens and adopts a similar solution, putting his body in the path of a bullet heading towards Andy.

Finally the rest of the team has changed to a new strategy around Nile and Andy. Instead of Nile leading, she stays close to Andy to be a shield. Nicky is holding up the rear for the same purpose.

Despite everyone’s best intentions they’ve been fighting a certain for hundreds if not thousands of years. Nile is younger but she reacts to a problem in their strategy and fixes it. Even more, the others immediately follow her lead and replicate her tactic.
